I'm definitely going to steer clear of the solder yeah I'll be using a bootdisc plus a solder-free modchip which just has a couple of ribbon cables you need to connect by the looks of it. If it all goes horribly wrong then in theory I can just detach the ribbon cables, close the PS2 and go back to normal. Mind you if something really screws up I'd make sure I post it on here to avoid other people making the same mistake. Fortunately my PS2 is way out of warranty so if I crack the sticker on the way in, it won't make any difference. I believe the trouble with using a bootdisk, is when you open the playstation to insert the new disc, the PS2 hardware detects that it's been opened and registers it as a new disk so the bootdisk doesn't help. That's why these bootdisks seem to be used with a slide card ( to pull the tray out manually and trick the PS2 ) or a solder free mod chip ( which disables the PS2's detection of the disk being swapped I think ). I haven't seen any bootdisk options yet that work with just the disk and no extra hardware required after spending a fair bit of time searching, which is a shame but if anyone has done, I definitely would be keen to look into it as an alternative. I could always be wrong. I just wish it was easy as the Gamecube freeloader!

i dunno about Zoids Struggle... It might just be like Soul Calibur, forgetful after like 20 hrs of game play. I think Zoids Legacy looks a little bit better, more customization and better 1st player.
