I hope this question hasn't been asked already, I searched and nothing came up. But what is the EX thingy?? Is it the combo that the Zoid does?? If not how is it activated?? I was reading the Zoid's stats and it says EX at the bottom and its still a mystery to me. Also one more thing, my game didn't come with an instruction booklet so this question I'm asking isn't out of lazyest.

EX is a super-move your Zoid performs when it is low on health. To perform this move, you need to stand perfectly skill and press the A and X buttons together.
Personally, I think the EX is a bad idea for several reasons:
1. You have to be low on health to perform it and odds are that one attack isn't going to save you if you're nearly dead.
2. Standing still in ZBL = death. While you're trying to use the attack, your enemy is either close by or on top of you, delivering the final blow.
3. Hitting the A and the X in unison on a Gamecube controller is harder than it sounds. I've only completed an EX attack on several rare occassions.

If you just hold both of them down, they will eventually perform the EX attack. I usually don't get below a millimeter less than full health, but everyonce in a while, i use the A+X to perform teh melee, and then when my oppponent gets back up, i can womp them with the EX.

I find that if you press A and hold it then press X it charges the EX attack. It works more often than pressing them at the same time.
Also in order to charge the EX you can't let go of A and X.
The CPC's are very hard to aim too...

It's probably designed to be difficult on purpose so that people don't use it as a crutch.
