Vs. III Trouble

I have an Action Replay Max and Zoids Vs. III, when I run FreeLoader it works fine and shows the intro movie and goes to the main screen but when I choose any menu option, the game just gives me a black screen with a bunch of weird characters. I've tried 2 different memory cards and with nothing in slot A and it still happens so I don't think it's a memory card issue.

Has anyone else run into such a problem or know how to fix it? I'd appreciate any help I can get.

I have a platinum/ silver gamecube and someone told me that might be a problem.
Does anyone else know if that would be an issue w/ playing imports?

The error I'm guessing is just an "Error Occured Turn Off GameCube" message, the mess of characters ends w/ a capital B. It also errors if I let it sit at the title screen (when it tries to play a demo). It seems like any time it tries to go into any kind of gameplay it errors. I think it might be a problem w/ the AR but I'm not sure what or how to fix it.

I have the same gamecube but not the MAX action replay, just the normal one. It just might be your action replay. Are you booting up the freeloader function correctly? Did you set it for the right region? I doubt it's the cube or game, has to be the AR.
