All I know is it's a game that lets you hook up with a Diablo Tiger or Cyclops in order to power up your Zoids.
...And that's it. How's the gameplay? Is it fun? What's the storyline? Is it worth getting? <_<

The storyline is your basic Saga storyline. Time Travel, bad guys trying to steal stompy Zoids, Good Guy with a MOUSE/RAT/FERRET Organoid!
I have a video of some battles, I could host them if you would like.

Completely wrong actually.
The storyline and gameplay are nothing like Sagas.
The gameplay is basically a simulator for a zoid. You choose your movement on a field, what weapon, where to aim, and your opponent does the same. It's very tricky.
As for the story, there are MANY alternate paths but I'll give a run through of mine as well as the characters involved:
Well, the hero is named Hyuu and he has a rabbit organoid named Chuu-B. He discovers a zoid when his town is attacked by bandits. The zoid is either a Diablo Tiger which is named Herion by default (I chose Herion) or a Cyclops named Yormungand. After fending off the bandits, Hyuu comes across a girl without a past(whose name I forgot, she's very important) and later on is hired by a scientist to become a mercenary and battle the bandits in order to acquire zoid data and gain a library. The beginning of the game is quite boring with multiple bandit missions against Dark Poison and Rev Hunters, with the occassional Black Rhymos and Snipe Master coming along as well. Eventually you'll be promoted from E rank to D rank and can perform D rank missions. This is where the fun really begins.
You'll gain a recruit named Jan and his blue Bearfighter named Gun Hou. He'll assist you in battles. What this means is that if he's participating in the same mission as you, each of you can target a different enemy and therefore two seperate battles occur in the mission. Assuming you both win, you get bonus for a faster completion. Every now and then you'll have to fight Jan.
Later on, you'll come across a mysterious guy named Rocky, who seems to know the chick you found. Rocky will pilot Yormungand the Cyclops (in my case, Cyclops I...you'll HATE fighting him) and the two are rivals in the same organization. At this point you'll be given more serious missions where you fight with dangerous opponents like Enriquez and his seven different versions of Shield Liger Aero (Leon Ray MkI - VII), and later a Trinity Liger BA (Leon Ray MkVIII). You'll also face a Konig Wolf piloted by a chick named Foya (the wolf is named Foya Volf), and later on three REALLY important characters: Prata and her Storm Fuhrer (Esparda de Prata), Rihita with his white Liger Zero X (Donar), and Jackal with his DarkSpiner.
Eventually you'll have to fight a bunch of Mad Thunders and Gojulas Gigas and this is when the story gets towards the climax. Rocky goes rogue and kidnaps the chick. His goal is to revive either the Death Meteor or Yakuto Stinger (depending on if he had a Cyclops or a Diablo Tiger) This is when the game gets REALLY fun because you get pitted against 20 or so Matrix Dragons but you'll have Rihita, Prata, and Jackal and it's a huge all out fight.
No time travel whatsoever. Also I dont know much about the link system with the model. All I know is that you control the model using the game as a remote controller. Sorta like how you can control the Deathstinger with one of the CPs.
Cyberdrive is VERY much worth getting though you'll need Japanese skills like mine in order to go through as there's a lot of reading. It's hard to write a walkthrough for the game because there are a LOT of storyline paths and the random prize missions that interupt the story are hard to write guides for because it's impossible to get every single one without playing the game a few hundred times.
Zoids that appear in this game:
Diablo Tiger alpha and beta (Herion) Cyclops I and II (Yormungand) Dark Poison Rev Hunter (first appearance...all those "new" zoids in Zoids Saga 2 actually came from Cyberdrive) Black Rhymos Snipe Master Bearfighter (Gun Hou) Gravity Bison Proto Saber Shieldliger Aero (Leon Ray v1-7) Iron Drill Gojulas Giga Bloodler Trinity Liger BA (Leon Ray v8) Geno Hydra KA Geno Flame Konig Wolf DSR (Foya Stain) DarkSpiner (I forgot the name of Jackal's DarkSpiner) Unenlegia Leoblaze Nightwise Mosasledge Matrix Dragon Liger Zero X (Donar) Lidier Storm Fuhrer (Esparda de Prata) Mad Thunder Yakuto Stinger Death Meteor

I don't have your l33t Japanese reading skills, but I'll see about getting it anyway. I've kinda got a collection of Nintendo handheld Zoids games going anyway. <_< battle the bandits in order to acquire zoid data and gain a library. Where have I heard that before? *coughPokemoncough*

That's alright, trial and error will get the trick done too. I first played the game 2 years ago when I had no Japanese knowledge so it took a while and the storyline was less fun but the gaming experience still was great.
Playing through it again from my old save state with my new Japanese knowledge makes the game a lot more fun though.

From the video Tiger showed me, it's definitely a lot more animated than any other Zoid Game Boy game to date.

FINALLY GOT IT!!
I named my Diablo Tiger Kitten. Chu-B is the cutest thing. Does he ever fuse with your Zoid? I haven't gotten past the first run of battles with Snipe Masters, but it looks really great. The graphics are beautiful for GBA. It'd be sweet if a sequel came out for DS. The eyes-take-up-half-the-size-of-the-face-characters and hair-larger-than-whole-head-main-character frighten me. Is there any RPG movement of the character or is it all have-control-of-your-destiny-through-menu-selection? Is there any way to heal your Zoid during battle? I was nearly destroyed by those first three Snipe Masters.

Support menu offers healing both reloading. It would be the menu after attacks in the manual command.

Thanks ƒ_[ƒN for the story. I played to this game, but without knowing what was the story occuring. My son finished it nearly 10 times, but we didn't manage to complete the library (when you finish the game, you can start it again, but you keep the upgraded caracteristic of your Zoid).
