If you like fighting games then import Freeloader & Full Metal Crash. The game is REALLY fun to play and works 100% on US game cubes (via freeloader).
The controls are nothing like Battle legends (thank goodness) and the game play is pretty fun.

do the other Versus games work with Freeloader? I'd like to take a crack at I and III.

The VS games have lots of garbled text. If you don't care about reading the text then: A: they are totally playable B: you make Tilly cry.

Yeah, I've got all the GC Japanese Zoids games and all work with AR. But VS I is REALLY hard when you're used to II/BL. When locking onto a foe, the camera doesn't keep the foe centered at all like in II, so you're forced to compensate the error and use only ranged guns because melee attacks will almost never work. But it's still a good game once you get used to the insanity. But watch out for Deathsaurer. In this game, a CPC from it will always kill you unless you have some wicked defense.
Could those of you with FMC tell me about the controls? Random button mashing was working for the first couple of fights, but now it's not, which is good for the game but not for me. <_<;

A B and X (I think?) are your melee attack, built-in weapon and CP weapon. Most attacks happen when you release a button - the longer you hold the button before releasing, the better lock-on you'll get. Some things like shields and blades are deployed when you press the button and stay deployed until the button is released. Holding a melee button usually gets a different attack altogether - for the Genos it shoots off the claws.
When pressing the button, you may be able to use a different attack by pressing a direction - for instance - pressing back and the melee attack (A?) will drop the Genobreaker's head spike, whereas down and A will do a tail swipe.
When the Ex bar is full, tap Y then press one of the attack buttons to launch an EX attack.
It's similar to Thrill Kill, in that rank beginners do quite well just bashing buttons. When you start to try to fight properly, you get much worse! Once you get the hang of it though, you can do bad things to other zoids very easily.
Elephander is so much fun with the lightsaber nose - slice slice slice Ex Gauge! Trample squish kill!

Ah, so that's how you lock on. I wasn't holding down buttons except to attempt EX attacks since that's how they're activated in VS. Where on the screen is the EX bar? And do I ever get anything other than Imperial Liger Zero in Story Mode?
BTW, if you've listened to the all the music in sound test mode in BL and wondered why about half the music is unfamiliar: it's used in VS I, and they decided not to take it out of VS II since II uses the same music as I.

I'm pretty sure there is a game in the works for the Wii. Tomy is listed as publisher for upcoming game releases, and I've heard somewhere that it would most likely be a zoids game.
