A long time ago I got to the point where completing Zi Fighters mode in Zoids Struggle did not unlock any more stuff in the shop, but there were still things in the shop to unlock  Last night I just randomly tried using Vega in a BF to play Zi Fighters, a combination I'd never won with before since I find the twerp annoying. To my surprise, winning with him unlocked the [kanji - looks like it might mean 'large aperture'] ion boosters - the boosters off Liger Zero Jager. I assume that there are pilot/zoid combinations that attract specific rewards. Ones like Raven/Genobreaker and VanAndFiona/Blade Liger I have probably already done, in the process of unlocking all the generic unlocks. I'm not sure whether you're allowed to use modified zoids, or what other combinations there are (and there's no way I can remember what I've tried in the past!). I doubt I've ever finished with Gummi/Giga or Brad/Wolf, so I'll try them tonight. Does anybody else still play Struggle? Or even have it?  |

Well, I have it, and I'd like to play it, but I don't have my GameCube anymore x.x On top of that my memory card's been missing for quite a while ^^;
Personally, I'm most concerned with translating the story mode if I can, or getting someone else to translate it. That's a lot of text... I must know what they're saying! @_@

Yes, FMC's story mode has more dialog than all three VS games combined. A translation of the menus would help too.

The story in Struggle is not hugely important, since there are no decisions to be made.
However - in Full Metal Crash there ARE decisions to be made, starting with describing Meera from memory. It's been a while since I played the game, but I just bought a GC off eBay and when it arrives there will be some serious time investment in FMC. Maybe I'll have revelations and epiphanies - if I do I will share them.
If Drk X is still around, he's probably far better at answering questions about FMC. His kanji-fu is stronger than mine.

although an import game, does it still play on the PS2, u know the so called american type of PS2 the one that doesn't play japanese import games.

Nope, you need a japanese/chipped ps2, or a boot disk.

Probably thinking of Full Metal Crash there DigitalMan. Erm... Yeah. I knew that. Of course. Ironically, I have everything I need to play Struggle... except for the game its self. Been stuck at 91.7% downloaded for 101 days now, and I don't think it's ever going to advance beyond that  |

Confirmed, at least suspected to be confirmed.
I've completed Zi Fighters a few more times, with the following results:
Gummi in Giga - nothing
Blade in BF (modified with some guns or something) - unlocked something
Irvine in CW - unlocked something
RD in LZP - nothing (but I've almost certainly won with him before)
I'm also coming to suspect that there is something else the determines whether you get to unlock something when it comes down to the last few prizes. Possibly only getting one unlock per session - so you need to reset the machine before you can unlock something else?
One thing left to unlock. And one Zi Fighter.
And my Gamecube arrived a couple days ago, so FMC is probably going to prevent me from playing any Struggle for a while! Go invisible ninja liger!
