Sirens blared.
"hey, Lieutenant Gabe!"
"What?"
"You think you can handle this? Observation says they've bought Deathsaurer."
"That's why the Orudios Squadron isn't staying here. We're attacking the base while Deathsaurer is away. We've got the Gunblusters taking care of him."
Second Lieutenant Graves sighed, "Ah, the Gunbluster."
'Lt. Gabe' rolled his eyes. "You ground force and your damned Gunblusters. No strategy, just march on into battle and hit the fire button. No fun whatsoever. Me, I enjoy the chase."
"Hey, you can fly around in your little horsey all you want. I like it on the ground where there aren't Storch units chasing after me. Like you said, just walk in and fire."
"You're a triggerhappy moron."
Graves laughed. "Yeah, maybe, but at least I'm not a buzz boy."
They both sniggered. Drake Gabriella spoke, "You get out of here, now, before they enter the city."
"Hehe, alright. You take care now, Lieutenant Gabe."
"You too, Graves."
He sprinted away from his locker and out of the room.
I should get going as well, my squadron is waiting, thought Drake to himself. He picked up his helmet and walked out of the room. Down the hall, he thought about the upcoming battle, about his home, and about his wife. I'll be back, Violet. I promise.

Lieutenant Gabriella stepped into the elevator and the doors closed behind him. He could see through the glass the bustling hangar, the ground forces leaving through the open gate, then the darkness of the elevator shaft. The elevator stopped, then began moving horizontally forward, then stopped. The doors opened to the room where the orudios cockpit seats were being boarded. He walked forward and the eye lenses folded down, letting him enter the cockpit and sit. He buckled the seatbelts and the eye lenses folded upright again. The cockpit began to lower down a shaft, until it came into the airforce hangar. His Orudios was directly below him. The cockpit lowered into the Orudios's head and the canopy closed behind him. Immediately, the display on the eyes and on the monitor in front of him flickered to life. He prodded a few buttons and grasped the contol levers before him, and pushed them forward. The great winged horse reared, whinnying, then galloped forward and flew out the gate. Drake's squadron soon followed him. He looked down at the Azure Colony and wondered if it would be the last time he laid eyes on it.
