A few months past with little action, as Neo-Guylos had little to do but develope new zoids. Zenevas, rather than try for an unlikely victory against Neo-Guylos, dicided to merge with them, and thus new Ideas and developements were put into production. Many original Zenevas zoids were reproduced and improved, including Zatton, Malder, Hellrunner, Sinker, and Spiker. A few of these served as general infantry units, while others were given to those high in the ranks as elite teams. A few new zoids, featuring the same clamhead cockpits and weapons as the original Zenevas units, were developed. The one that was considered the best was dubbed "Tendra", and was called so because it was the first squid-type zoid ever to be produced. It was somewhat more effective than the Sinker, and much faster. As soon as the prototype was finished, it was put into mass-production.
"Alright, soldiers," said Gen. Blaremire,"We have been told by a few of our outside intelligences that there is a small republican convoy is expected to pass a river near here...a very close river. If they even catch a hint that we even exist, then all hope is lost. We have also been informed that the convoy is carrying a 'secret weapon'. You must disable the convoy but retrieve the weapon...undamaged." Immediately there was a feeling of exitement in the room. A few of the soldiers spoke out their feelings. "Finally! A chance to prove our worth!"
"Hold on a second," spoke Blaremire in a sort of melancholy tone of voice, "We have also been told that a seismosaurus will be guarding the transport unit." There was shouting and commotion in the room for the shock and disbelief. "I thought the seismosaurus units had all been destroyed! I took care of a few myself! The zoid I have now can't possibly be of any-"
"Mine can," said lieutenant Xavier Justin.
Everyone turned and stared at him. "I'm sorry, mate, but your little lizard is no match for a Seismosaur," said one of the other soldiers. "I was in the great war. I took out a Death Saurer unit. I was piloting this 'little lizard' as you called him. He may not be the bigest of zoids, but he can withstand almost any attack. This mission should be of no difficulty whatsoever, General."
"...Your point has been addressed, Lt. Justin. Now, all of you, suit up and be prepaired for battle in one hour."
LATER...
"Lt. Justin, requesting permission to speak!," said private Samuel.
"At ease, private."
"Few! Thanks. I can't stand all of this militaristic crap nowadays."
"Tell me about it. What is it that you wanted to speak with me about?"
"Um, I just wanted to know if that was true...you know, what you said about defeating a DS unit?"
"yeah. So?"
"In that...what was it called?...Scissorbreaker?"
"yeah...So what?"
"Wow. My zoid is also a custom unenlagia. Did you see it?"
"...the Unen Fuhrer?"
"Yeah! That's it. I don't think It could stand up to a DS very long, though."
"Well, If you're wondering how I did it, I couldn't tell you. You'd have to ask Scissorbreaker, but I don't think he could tell you, either..."
"...Um, yeah. Right. Well, see you on the battle field, sir."
The pilots began to enter the hangar bay and reporting to their designated units. It was interesting to see that each one was different, because each of them had brought with them their own custom zoids.
"ALL PILOTS, PREPARE FOR TAKEOFF," announced the loudspeaker.
In moments, the makeshift army began filing out of the hanger and making their way towards the battlefield. They soon arrived to the designated area, where they waited...
"I don't see anything! Where's the convoy?"
"Just wait. It should be here so-Wait a minute. I'm picking up something on radar...Oh my God..."
"what is it? What do you see?"
"EVERYONE! ATTACK POSITIONS, NOW!"
Immediately, everyone's weapons were deployed as they awaited the impending attack. "I still don't see it!"
"look above the trees!" shouted Lt. Justin. "I have to call this in," he said, fiddling with the comlink system. "Sir...We have a problem..."
"What seems to be the trouble, Lieutenant?"
"Data correction, sir. There is no Seismosaurus unit, sir, but an Ultrasaurus. Repeat: Ultrasaurus. Awaiting orders..."
