"Sir the data is in." The soldier spoke suddenly, breaking the agonising silence in the isolated area of the base; deep inside a mountain, the secret project was beginning to take form.
In front of the scientist, there now lay a file upon a steel desk, labelled simply as ‘Colonel Kuntz – Iron Nacht Specifications and Battle data’. The file was thick and quite heavy but the scientist swept it form the desk, turned and walked away from the soldier who still stood at attention.
Minutes later he arrived in a heavily guarded area, not guarded by soldiers like the one who had handed him the file, but by automated guns which patrolled the area on bases which could only be described as tanks. As he walked past them he pressed a card against the mechanical eye and moved on, not seeming to mind that automated killing machines surrounded him. To his right a large figure loomed over him, still in shadow, the monstrous figure was barely recognisable as an Iron Kong, but to the scientist it was a familiar sight, the beast had been his life’s work.
When he finally arrived in the room, he let out a sigh, trying to compose himself, and entered. Inside were the most respected military scientists in the Guylos Empire, and in a tall chair at the head of the stainless steel table was the emperor of the entire Guylos Empire. To his left was the commander of all the ground troops and to his right another military personal that the scientist did not recognise.
“Listen Mr. Hesse the Guylos Empire is fighting a loosing battle and unless you’re going to finish this project, we need the resources being put into this base to protect the Empire!” General Huxley spoke in an abrasive and startling manner, and made Carl Hesse feel uneasy and claustrophobic, behind him the heavy iron door, he felt as if Huxley was slowly crushing him against it.
“ANSWER ME NOW!!” Shouted the general again at Hesse, consequently making him step back.
“ Actually sir, with this new data from colonel Kuntz’s Iron Nacht we can finally complete the project…” His voice quivered, communicating his fear of the general to everyone else in the room.
The Emperor cut Huxley off before he could respond, “ Please show us your research and specifications for this new zoid.”
“ Well” spoke Hasse now much calmer, “ We have designed the new zoid known as Cyber Kong. It uses the Iron Kong base unit but expands on it in many ways, first of all the armour has been strengthened with a new carbon compound, it can deflect even the highest calibre gun the republic has and has a surprising characteristic of turning the armour white, although its still vulnerable to energy weapons. Using data from an abandoned Shield Liger we have created a wrist weapon for general defence. I should also mention that we have also included an electro-magnetic-charge missile on the wrist mount. We have added a new anti-matter reactor that powers all the systems on board, this has improved efficiency by 50% and the power of the weapons has increased beyond our wildest imaginations. Finally we are preparing to add a CPC in place of the missile launcher so commonly found on Iron Kongs, this data provided by colonel Kuntz has reassured us that this will be a great addition to Cyber Kong’s weapons systems. Any questions?”
The room was silent for what seemed like an eternity, then the military personal Hasse had not recognised spoke, “ What do those missiles do?”
“Well actually it’s missile, only one will be installed on each Cyber Kong. It can be fired just like a normal missile, but instead of exploding on impact, it is designed to attach itself. You see, inside is an electro magnet that electromagnetically charges an iron plate on the outside of the missile. When it hits the enemy zoid it sticks, and this electromagnetic charge spreads, blocking systems and damaging on board computers. Unfortunately the largest battery that we could put on without hindering the missile can only sustain this huge charge for 10 seconds after impact. Then the pilot has the chance to attack while the zoid is immobilised or detonate a small warhead inside the missile.”
“I’ve heard enough,” the emperor spoke with conviction “ I want this zoid in combat as soon as possible…”
Making the custom as we speak ;D
