This probably won't fit into the timeline so im telling myself its in a paralel universe
After the fall of the Guylos empire, many troops still loyal to the emperor, were driven into the desert. Very quickly they found their zoids were not suited to the desert climate, and so, they attacked various occupied Guylos bases. The retrieved zoids were much more appropriate for the desert, 20 desert heldigunners.
Colonel Carl Sanders found himself as the elected leader of the group and a long with rest of the higher-ranking officers formulated how to utilize the heldigunners to their maximum potential. The plan they decided on was the Heaven and Hell troops. The heldigunners were separated into two troops of ten. One set were painted jet black while the others white, they were customised using the remaining zoids that the soldiers had piloted as proud defenders of the empire.
Operation lucifer a.k.a Hell
The black heldigunners were designed to attack at night, with radar absorbing paint and silencers to cover the sounds of the added jump-jets, this zoid is almost impossible to detect until it has descended upon its target.
Modifications:
Jump-jets:- They allow the heldigunners to ‘fly’ for short amounts of time, however they are not as powerful as the ones on the heaven variant.
Radar absorbing paint:- The black paint absorbs radar waves and stops detection until it enters an area within 50m, within this area the heldigunner is detectable but can reach a target directly in front of it within 2.5 seconds.
Silencers:- These are within the jump-jets and muffle the sound coming from them, furthering the difficulty in finding this zoid.
Operation Gabriel a.k.a Heaven
The white heldigunners were designed to attack during sunny spells, with white paint that reflects almost all of the light shone onto it as well as jump-jets, this zoid can appear out of nowhere slicing its opponents into pieces with its razor sharp blades.
Modifications
Jump-jets:- They allow the heldigunners to ‘fly’ for short amounts of time, they are much more powerful than the ones on the hell variant. The Heaven heldigunners utilise this modification by launching themselves into the air coming down onto their opponents with their blades with immense force.
Reflective paint:- The white paint reflects 95% of all light shone onto it, blinding or confusing opponents.
Extra flexible tail:- The tail joints were modified, allowing the zoid to flick its tail completely around itself, this makes the blades on the tail even easier to use.
The zoids were found to be extremely useful in the desert, Colonel Sanders was worried however, without more versatile zoids, to reach out and attack nearby towns, they were confined to the desolate region….
its just an intro but i'd still like opinions on the general idea i also plan on making the zoids into customs
