Since the holidays are so close, I thought I'd share a gift with all my fellow zoid fans: more of my bad fanfiction! Please remember, I don't own the franchise rights to Zoids(there'd be a gungy reissue if I did) so don't sue me. If you don't like it, just insult me like normal people do.
The Metal Girl and The One-Eyed Hound
During a long journey through Pirate King valley, a group of travelers became cut off by several Bio-raptors. Their simple Baratz couldn't even begin to put up a fight against the far stronger Raptor-types. Just before the Bios' final attack, they paused, and began to disintegrate. All that remained was the rib bones dangling from a pair of lances. The travelers were amazed by the sheer speed at which the zoid had destroyed the Bios, but more surprised to see that it was a Hound Soldier with rather severe damage to its face.
“Travelers, for your own safety, please follow the Hound Soldier before you.” The voice was loud, but that of a young girl. The Hound moved towards the canyon wall and passed through it with ease. The smaller Baratz moved slowly in the Soldier's path, cautiously passing through the wall into a massive underground hangar. The travelers looked towards the zoid for the voice, only to find that it echoed over the hangar's PA. “If you would, please exit your zoids and move to the waiting area in the rear of the bay.”
“Excuse me, may I ask who you are?” The oldest of the group stepped out of his Feele Sworder and asked. “We wish to personally thank you for saving us.”
The voice was silent for a moment. “I am of no importance, Hound Soldier saved you, not I.”
The elder seemed puzzled. “Please miss, We only wish to offer our thanks, nothing else. We are mere travellers. Any secrets you may hold, you need have no fear of us exploiting.”
“...Very well. I must ask you to refrain from any obvious statements about my appearance.” The source of the voice which commanded them emerged from a nearby door, showing herself to be not only petite, but also, at least to some extent, zoid-like. Many of the travelers, now outside of their small zoids, could not help but to stare. Her frame was small, about five foot, with various bits of Hound Soldier armor making up the majority of her dress. “You can see now why I did not wish to step forth. Men tend to gawk at me.”
The elder laughed a little to himself. “Miss, they mean no harm. It's just that my men have never seen a young lady covering her body in armor made to resemble a zoid's before.”
“That's just the problem.” The young girl said, rather swiftly. “I'm not wearing anything. This armor is my body.”
The leader paused for a good moment. “My dear young lady, if what you're saying is true, that would make you...”
“..A Hybrid. That's correct, my body is made from the same alloys as your Baratz or Hound Soldier, but my appearance and behaviors is as human as my mother's.”
Please keep in mind I write these at various intervals, so it may sound like it's parts thrown together. If it doesn't, disregard that sentance and know that whatever you're feeling is totally what I was going for.
