I have two super great zoid stories I wrote over a year and a half and I'm getting them published. I have to first though get permissions and stuff like that. I let a couple of friends of mine read them and they LOVED it, asking for more. I'm sooo excited! ;D

Need an editor? I might not be that good with the really technical grammar stuff, but I might be of some use.
I'd be wary of copyright when it comes to publishing fanfics, though...I have seen collections of fan stories in books sold for charity, but I don't know about for profit, if that's what you mean. I suppose it all depends on the company. Japanese ones seem a bit less picky about fanworks, if all the doujinshi and the like out there are any indication.

Well I'm going to check with hasbro first and see what they say.

Who is your publisher? -Phenotype I'm not sure yet. I have to talk to Hasbro about and to get permission to use some of the zoids (names) in my stories. I'll tell you guys what they say when I get a chance to call them.

I wouldn't get your hopes up...they probably will just give you a canned answer.
I'd just look into getting them printed in something like a fanmag, if anything...

Well I called and they said that i would have to talk to Toys of America or something like that. I guess I won't get them published. I was going to put them on the forum for ya'll to read but my mom told me no. She said that someone who might have permission to publish may take my story for themselves. (its that good).

I'm not doubting your skills as a writer but I think you're a little overconfident. Nobody is going to steal your stories. -Phenotype

If you're really worried, one trick I've heard of is to save it to disk/CD, and then mail it registered mail to yourself and leave it sealed, so the date is recorded that way...then if you really need to prove you created it first, there you go.
That's a little extreme, though...I'd just keep a copy saved...and if you post it somewhere, people you know will watch out for you. At least I will with writers I've talked to...
Plus, it's really, really important to get yourself at least one editor/beta reader if you want something published. I find errors in things after 20+ readings of them...and other people can look at things with a fresh perspective and see holes you might not.

I'll think about it (putting them on the forum). I have to wait till I get home. I'm at school right now.

It's 30,000-something words, which is short compared to Sh33p and Zinou's fics...gah, I envy people who can write that much and still have it be good.
I only host my own stuff...nothing personal, of course.
I've got a pre-Fuzors fic that needs finishing, and the inspiration for a continuation of it. I really should try and get that done before they air the next half...if they do.
