It's one of those moments when you're watching Chaotic Century. One of those moments when all the good things Van does in his life gets cashed in. One of those moments when Van can buy a miracle, if only for a fraction of an episode.
Lights . . . Camera . . .
* * *
A whirlwind of light opens. Within the swirling bands of luminous rays, the silhouette of an object standing strongly on all fours becomes apparent--and for a moment . . . it looks familiar.
Van looks around the sea of white light as the displays appear before him. Indicators, status screens, and interfaces chatter their cries of awakening. His hands find controls that seem to grow within his grasp. Control grips and handles become visible . . . familar, yet new.
Van looks around in astonishment as the miracle defines itself before him. For a moment, Van feels a friend, for a moment he feels two. Watching the miracle contain him within a cockpit, Van looks forward over the bright new controls to see the desert tinted by the pane of an orange canopy. It is a canopy of a familiar orange, a rounded orange pane defined by new lines.
The cocoon unravels itself quickly, revealing its contents on the sand, and the sunlight washes across a metal form. The creature stands tall in defiance of gravity, and the sunlight is refracted as renewed metal gleams brilliantly. A familiar shade of blue becomes discernable on a very different frame. . .
Golden blades shine brightly.

Yeah, I just finished watching the episode. It's one of those episodes that ends with Wildflower strumming to life in the background.
So who cares if it's Cheez Wiz as long as it's tasty Cheez Wiz, right?
EDIT: fixed a logical spelling error
