I still say that's a prototype Panzer.
For one, the intro goes Panzer/supposed 'Blaze', Jäger, Schneider. Why would they leave out the Panzer? As for why they wouldn't add it in later-it's a short series, and that'd cost money. And they might have, for all I know. Need...DVD...
For two, the Panzer seems to have been made later-in the manga, Caesar and Ban fight a Schneider and Jaeger, but the volume has all three in the little bit about the models on the cover-the manga was drawn earlier, the volume put together later. (I mean the Japanese books, not the English)
For four-not-three, it breaks the German pattern.
For five...Tomy doesn't make the anime. And if the anime ditched it, that wouldn't necessarily stop them from releasing it-it's more money in the bank.
...I need more evidence than hearsey, is what I'm saying.

I agree with Tilly, I think this is one of the largest pieces is misinformation floating around. It's obviously a prototype Panzer, Tomy obviously didn't have the design finalized yet and gave some prototype sketches to the animators to use in the opening credits, plus I've been told that about halfway through the series the intro changes and shows Panzer instead. Also, I have the NC/0 Sountrack and on the inside it shows the Ligers lined up but Panzer is absent, so again they obviously went through a lot of design changes. -Phenotype

That sounds right Pheno. I've know Grey Wolf since zoids zero was on Toonami and I am not sure how accurate that article is or his "source" ..this same dilemma drove me crazy when i downloaded the opening and saw the armor unit. I just figured it was a prototype.

I think that means the webpage has used up its allocated space. Give it an hour or two and you should be able to see it.

Thanks Till-ster! That "blaze" does look pretty awsome though, why would they change it?
