Zoids were next in the presentation, and you couldn't doubt the enthusiam of Jackie Pitman from the Zoids Marketing Team. She lead the entire room in the mantra that represents what Zoids are all about:
"Build -- Customize -- Mobilize"
Jackie announced that there are three distinct lines of Zoids. For boys ages 8-14, there are the Model kits. The Z-Builder Models are geared towards boys ages 6-8. Finally, the Action Figures are aimed for boys ages 5-9.
Across these three lines, there will be 60 new items this year. One of the highlights for the Model Kits is the Holotech Zoids. These are figures with clear molded armor that allows you to see the inner mechanics. A second highlight is the Mega-Gravity Zoids, which contain mechanics like fly wheels to add to the fun. The Electronic Super Models, such as Liger Zero and Limited Blade Liger, and the Premier and Electronic round out the sub-line of Model Kits.
The focus of the Z-Builder line is the compatibility and adaptability of multiple Zoids. A kid (or older collector) can build one character, combine it with another, attach it to another Zoids creation, or take four of them and combine into one larger character. The Z-Builders Phoenix is an example of this, as it can become armor for last year's Liger Zero model kit.
Jackie went on to say that the Action Figures will consist of characters (meaning Zoids) from the cartoon. There will be new episodes beginning this Fall that will showcase these characters, focusing on the Z-Builders line. There will be a constant refreshing of product throughout the year, leading to many choices for Zoids fans.
