Yeah. Little kids can't appreciate the pure, unbridled Badassity of the Lord Gale ;D. Seriously though, I cringe in pain when I think of little kids playing with Zoids like that. That's not how you treat a model kit

And thinking about zoids like Liger Zero or Berserk Fuhrer: the little kids think they're so cool cause they're on the show, but once they build them (if they can get the 40 bucks for the Fuhrer at Toys R Us, or if they just happen to be a lucky son-of-a-gun and find one at KB for 10 bucks like me ;D) and accidentally drop them (which happens so often with kids), a bunch of pieces on the Liger or Fuhrer will likely brake. Then it's "wahh!!! Mommy, Liger broke!!!" and it's back to Toys R Us for another 25 dollars to buy a new Liger... it's hard to think about what a 7 year old kid would do to poor Fuhrer...

My little sister hasn't broken her few Zoids...she's careful with them. I think she lost a pilot, though...

Hasbro also made unnecessary name changes, only one that I see that makes sense.

Helcat is because Hellcat doesn't fly in censor-land for some reason.
Berserk Fuehrer is a duh, as is Wardick...and Guysack sounds kind of perverted too.
I think Hammerhead and a few others were copyright issues...
Still, some of the alternate names are silly :p.

Helcat is because Hellcat doesn't fly in censor-land for some reason. I think there's another reason, they released Hel Digunner without a name change. Yeah, those ones should be obvious to everyone. Yup, keep in mind people, Hasbro also owns the GI Joe line, that's why they had to change Hamerhead and Stealth Viper. -Phenotype

Yeah, it's the word "hellcat" as opposed to just the "hel(l)"...something to do with witches or whatever.

they changed the salamander to the pteramander...
which...makes a tiny bit of sense...but salamander sounds better.

But still, they could make a zoid that's ON THE RIGHT FACTION!! And maybe a Zoid that is what it's supposed to be....Ultrasaurus? A t-rex type? What were they smoking?

Tilly, your sister is probably better with the kits since she's seen you with them. My brother (13 now) had a few kits for a while, using them in his psychotic "war Games" alongside various MSiA's (I still cringe when I see the condition his are in), but eventually I persuaded him to sell them to me. Granted, I built them in the first place, and all of the kits are in my scrap bucket now, but still. It reminds me of when we got several Gundam kits for Xmas one year, and my dad was assembling them. They still had bits of sprue on them, as Imagine most little kid's Zoids do.

Besides, Helcat was with one L in the original version. I don't get why some of the other names are changed, though. What's perverted about Guysack, and why would Gusak be better? Plus, the Brachio got renamed with a Typo, it's Brachaiosaur. And Gatordus? And Iguanasaur? Must I go on? In Hasbro's defense, they Are Releasing the kits here, and, warts and all, I appreciate that.
