Looks like two Xeno Rex designs based on Evangelion Unit 01 and Unit 02 will be coming this summer!

Man, like I don't already have too many Xenorexes. But these look really cool, going to need at least one of the two.

Woah... what series will these be? They are bat-op mods, right? (I never could get the Geno Rex!)

Xeno Rex is a motorized Zoids Wild kit. These are part of the Synergenyx line, which seems to encompass a lot of Takara Tomy's collabs released under their T-Spark (toys aimed at adults) series~

Which is why it's unfortunate the only recent kits they have to mess with are the Wild ones, aimed at kids.

and now we have open preorders (with a bunch of new pics)! Looks like they come with entry plugs you can use in place of pilot figures, and alternate-color canopies. Amiami: Eva-01 XenorexEva-02 Xenorexwe've been able to tell all along, but these sets use the parts for the fullsize xenorex that come from the scissor/buster option sets. I wonder if they include those full sets in the way the two monhun zoids we've gotten so far include the full weapon sets rather than just the handful of parts they use?

Oooh, entry plugs. That actually makes them an even higher scale than 1/72, doesn't it. Or lower, whatever. Like now they're maybe 1/100s? As someone trying to always headcanon these into 1/72s, it's pretty amusing seeing that option.

even inside the entry plugs, the pilots are still incredibly small, I could see them being like... 1/200 possibly?

Yeah, those would bump the scale way up! I think they did a great job with these two... but the tiny arms still look tineh! I think its the head size that's throwing me, since it is still sized for a 1:48 pilot.

1/35, isn't it? But yeah. Xenorex was their attempt at kind of re-railing what was odd about Wild, adding a canopy cockpit and actually putting movement in the limbs beyond the attachment point... but it's still 1/35, so that cockpit is huuuge.

the zoid was 1/35, yes. But these kits have entry plugs you can use with them instead of the pilot figures, entry plugs being the cockpit capsules on Evangelion units. They slot into the upper back of the evas, which are friggin' huge. here, they slot into the inside of the cockpit.

Since these come with new parts, I need to get two of each.
