It is my understanding that the full scale molga resides here now days. www.mibutoymuseum.com/news240120/. I have got to see a few pics of where it is sitting, however don't see it on it's website nor google maps of the place. If anyone else knows more feel free to enlighten me. I may share those pics later in this thread if anyone else is interested. I know I was! I asked about them possibly pulling it out of the mothballs for thier anniversary events. I was told then that they modified it into a game cockpit. A discord thread revealed where it is aledgedly. I snooped around and did find a zoids display but that was it.

Twitter's a great place to look for things like this because that's where most of the Japanese fandom is. Not sure if he's moved in the last few months, but here's a post from November last year showing it chilling out in the hedges. Unfortunately 'ol Molga has suffered degradation over the years from weather, so they stopped allowing entry several years ago, and I'm guessing it also probably wouldn't hold up to a move well, which may be why it didn't move for the anniversary. You can search for him by "実物大モルガ" or "大モルガ" for short. Turns out you can see him on Google Earth! Thank you so much for all the extended information! It is greatly appreciated! I will look at everything. I often thought, out of all the zoids it would likely be the most feasible without too much bone jarring effects riding in it. This is why I haven't been graced with great wealth. I'd be foolish enough to try and build full scale models that actually work as intended. When I saw it so many years ago in post thought it was a great start that just needs finshing. I'm off to go be a looky Lou on all that you have provided! Thanks again!

For those on a phone with google earth app. That is at 36°27'45"N 139°48'30"E I can see it from above without the use of my drone! Further it is indeed on google maps too! I just didn't know what I was looking for until the added information was given. maps.app.goo.gl/bGrXtxkkS7wB68uE9

Imagine just casually finding that, not knowing about the museum, just going "whoa, I knew Zoids were real!"

I remember when this was first announced, and wow, was there ever a lot of excitement back in the days of the NJR.
It's great to see that it has held up this long, and if it has to be taken down, per the tradition of Zoiding, someone needs to make a full custom out of it!

As I recall, wasn't there a Zoids game pod in the head originally? I would totally put a Mechwarrior game pod in there!

Those google maps pics clearly show that the top of the cockpit area has a clear plastic piece on it with 2 hinges. Perhaps it's a good thing it is so far away from me! If I get that close it would be too tempting for me to not climb inside! One hinge is broken, unattached, the other seems ok. Wonder how understanding they would be with a foreign tourist who simply wanted a pic of himself in the cockpit. Oh well a trip to Japan for me seems more fantasy than reality, but maybe someday!

I remember seeing blurry pics of this life-size replica over a decade ago- glad to see my favorite Zoid still in one piece today! Hopefully it can be restored someday.

Never visited it.
I'm planning on living again in Japan, so I may as well visit it.
