Kotobukiya announced an HMM RZ-045 Salamander/Pteramander. No artwork or prototype though.

This was the very first zoid that I ever received and built. I am so unbelievably pumped for just from a nostalgia standpoint.

Maybe we will get our first look at the Shizuoka Hobby Show next month.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - the skeletal Helic Zoids make great HMMs, and there should be more of them. I'm very excited for this one.

I’d kill for an HMM Gordosaur.

Fingers crossed for a Salamander Bombvern.

Fingers crossed for a Salamander Bombvern. That seems like a pretty solid possibility. SOP at the moment seems to be, release new Zoid, release CP unit, release Zoid packaged with CP unit. And the Gojulas cannons themselves would probably sell pretty well anyway.

Woah... this would be one of the kits I don't think I could resist!

Love these old school style, agree on Gordosaur, maybe even a Giant Zrk to begin. With the Gojulas cannons available, a bombvern isn't too far away.

What if they made an HMM Mammoth?

I'd rather see the original kit revived by with different / less spindly body pieces this time around. but still neat!

I'm liking the head (my biggest gripe with the HMM Gojulas is still that he somehow looks like a dog), but the spindly proportions... I don't know. This looks like very early concept art, though, I wouldn't be surprised if the actual model ends up looking different.

If any kit (okay, other than bugs) can benefit from the typical HMM "spindly" look I would say the Salamander is a contestant. This isn't a massive flying tank so much as a modified pterosaur... fast and spry are what you are looking for, not a bulky infighter. I like where its going but for me the legs seem too large and the wings too heavy and small. Still a great looking kit, but at least in this art it seems a bit awkward.

Looking at it again, I think my problem is that with the long legs, the proportions are almost humanoid, and so now it looks like a dude in a Salamander costume.
