Hello everyone,
It has been quite a while! The last time I was active on this site, I was in my third year of high school. Now, I've earned a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and have been slowly rekindling my love for Zoids! Hope that didn't come off as a weird flex, haha- just wanted to explain that I've transitioned into a new chapter of my life!
But if one thing has remained constant, it has been my passion for arthropods! Historically I always prioritized collecting arthropod-type Zoids (insects, arachnids, crustaceans, etc.), and during my time in study I pursued a minor in Entomology at my university! It was a lot of fun learning even more about insects and the like, and I can firmly say that these exoskeletoned creatures will always have a soft spot in my heart
Anyhow, I wanted to share some photos I took of a couple of my Zoids Wild kits: Kuwaga and Kuwaganos! Some thoughts about the Kuwaganos follow below.
-----
ZW07 Kuwaga (Left) and ZW37 Kuwaganos (Right):
"Wild Blast" Accessories Deployed:
In the lore of Zoids Wild Zero, the Kuwaganos was essentially an upgraded Kuwaga that has high-speed flight capability, allowing it to have a fast dispatch time and aiding the Republic's efforts to gain air superiority over the Empire.

I'm not sure that this really counts as a "review," I just wanted to provide a side-by-side comparison of the two models since the Kuwaganos doesn't seem to have much publicity online. Generally, the Zoids Wild kits don't have a lot of simple color/part variations of the same models in their mass-released lineup (from what I can see), so the Kuwaganos stuck out to me when I saw it offered on BigBadToyStore for only about $12 USD! I tossed it in with my Gunpla order several months ago and finally got around to building it yesterday!
The Kuwaganos is essentially just a recolor of the Kuwaga, with six new parts. Kuwaganos swaps the blue armor for orange plating, black frame for a medium grey color, and the bright purple/fuchsia rubber caps for translucent yellow caps.
The new parts are molded in a nice translucent orange color. They are molded in a very smooth and sturdy-feeling plastic with decent friction; it does not feel like they will get super loose over time unlike other, brittler clear plastics. The parts include extended mountings for the "Wild Blast" accessories, new wing parts, and larger outer pincer parts. You can see in the above photos that the Kuwaganos's bigger pincer arms are mounted higher up relative to the body, in order to make room for the new wings flanking the lower sides of the abdomen.
Functionally, the Kuwaganos performs similarly to the Kuwaga in its movement, though a bit slower- I have to say the motor feels underpowered now that there is even more weight added on top of the same chassis. As expected, the Zoid seems to have an easier time walking with the Wild Blast parts retracted, since the weight is more contained around the center of mass (the motor).
Anyway, I hope this post was helpful in case anyone was curious about the Kuwaganos, or had not even heard of it before! I wouldn't blame you, Zoids Wild Zero and its kits seem to be much more obscure, most likely due to the failure of the series to even get completed subtitles...
