If they offer the Gun Sniper Leena I would be able to order a replacement part. Anyone missing parts in the US can probably get them through this.

I've made it no secret that I'd love to try the series, if not for the shipping costs adding up to being prohibitive. $80 for a large-sized Koto kit is actually not bad, since they usually go to over $100 easily. I've really wanted to get an Iguan (and paint/label it in Zillon colors) and Molga AA & Carrier. But realistically, I could only get one small kit a year at the prices they offer. I find it funny that the first kit to be released by Kotobukiya in the States won't be something that appeared in the anime, such as Liger Zero, and I love that.
I think I'll pass on the DCS-J, and save my money for designs that I don't already have (Iguan for starters). I already have the Tomy version, and would definitely recommend anyone who doesn't have the original to add this to their collection. I think that Kotobukiya made a really good first choice to excite potential buyers. And they had better keep the Mercy Rabbit box art. To do otherwise would be sacrilege.
This makes me really hopeful that the North American Zoids line is actually here to say, as opposed to dying a slow death (Zoids Wild Zero has yet to see a release here after all). Maybe they are just waiting for things to open back up.

That's the retail price ($148 roughly). Of both the US and Japanese version, and of the old Death Stinger when it was first released. Unfortunately Koto's personal stores don't offer any kind of discount, which sends you reeling back when you're used to prices like AmiAmi, HLJ, and Amazon, which often discount up to 20% off the item price. That 20% can go a long ways when a kit is already over $100.

The Death Stinger ZS will not be released in Japan until July. I already have that one on pre-order as well courtesy of amiami.

On one hand, I’ve never built an HMM or a Death Stinger, and my birthday is coming up (plus I kind of actually like the emerald color accents, which is my birthstone).
On the other hand, I’m having a hard time justifying spending or asking for $140. And yet, I love the idea of getting a bunch of detail modeling stuff and that red Zoids Wild scorpion type to practice on, and building up to this beast. I might even eventually build that Tomy Death Stinger I have in storage...
