Zoids Concept Art Scans?

  Hi all, this is Joel. Don't know if you remember me. It's been a long time. Since I've been on here, hell since I've last built a Zoid. I still think about it often, how I'd like to actually do a repaint, similar to what many customizers do online. Hope that everyone has been careful with the pandemic going on, and everyone is well.

 Anyways, the thread handle should give you of what I want to ask. Once upon a time, there was this site called Zoidspoison. I imagine that most members remember it. Looking at it from the Wayback Machine brings back many memories. But the one thing that I liked above all others, the one thing that would always keep Zoids on my mind, even as life have changed, and Zoids collecting went from my favorite hobby that the world revolved around, to something that I used to do, was the Zoids Scans and History section.

 I loved going through that section. I could spend all day, going through the Dengeki and Japan Hobby magazines, and all of the random scans pictures. Even as bills and drawing has taken the money and time that I would normally spend on Zoids, and even though I no longer have the shelf-space necessary even if I did, looking at these was a cost-free way for me to continue to experience that love I have for Zoids. 

 So my question is: does anyone know who saved all of those scans, and posted them online? 

 There are some sites that I know of, but I don't know how completely they archive everything. Those are theironbible.com/ and zoidsathenaeum.890m.com/index.htm.

 There is also ultrasaurus.red.pagesperso-orange.fr/index.html, who hasn't updated his site in forever, but still has pictures of just about every prototype, and some related concept art.

Zoids Aethenaeum backed up all of the Zoids Poison scans so far as I know. The Iron Bible only has scans from magazines that I've personally collected and been able to get larger scans of, so it's a rather incomplete ongoing process.

Zoids Land also has a magazine section, but uses photos instead of scans. Includes a lot of the CoroCoro issues missing on the other 2 sites, and some DHM / etc. photos. CoroCoro has very little concept art, it's mostly model stuff. The blue links on the CoroCoro page (if you use google translate) will say ZOIDS by which issues have ZOIDS.

I think that the scans of some of the subjects were at a higher quality on Zoidspoison than they currently are on Aethenaeum. The Crimson Horn variants come in mind in particular, and there is this theropod and dragon concepts from Rebirth Century that I've failed to find so far. But then I kind of blame myself for not just downloading the images myself for posterity while I had the chance, instead of leaving it to chance. Beggars can't be choosers and all.

You yourself have managed to do a fantastic job under the circumstances, Hanyoutai, and you've even managed to find some concept art that I didn't see archived on ZP. I wish that they'd release some sort of Collectors Books for all of the official concept art and customs. Then again, I wish they'd also do English translations too. Unfortunately, I think that by having Hasbro do licensing alone, they are neglecting a market in other countries that likes the lore just as much, if even more than the model kits. But that probably is a discussion for another thread.

True, I wouldn't have gone looking for them, but it's still pretty cool that you were able to snag up these pieces of Zoids history, albeit one which arguably played a part in putting and end to the NAR. But then that's another story. I'd really love to see concept art for Energy Liger and Energy Zaber. I image that they must (hopefully) be sitting in some file archive at Hasbro or Takara Tomy HQ or something.

As far as I can remember, I saved every single image from ZP's Scans and History section apart from a couple of instruction manuals (which you might be able to find here). The Dengeki Hobby Magazine and Hobby Japan scans have all been reuploaded to the respective pages on the Zoids Athenaeum, unless I got a better-quality replacement somewhere else (usually from Hanyoutai), so nothing should be lower resolution than ZoidsPoison. Some of the concept art is in amongst the DHM scans (for instance, the Rebirth Century concepts you're thinking of are probably these ones from the June 2008 issue), and all the art that I didn't know the exact origin of at the time is at the bottom of the DHM page. Much of it turned out to be from the "B-Part" sections of DHM, most of which didn't get uploaded to ZoidsPoison for some reason... but I've now scanned them all myself in higher quality. The only other threads I remember from the Scans and History section were some Generations summaries (which are redundant now that the Iron Bible has the whole story up) and rough translations of a couple of OJR Graphics issues, which I've also scanned myself.

Thanks for the link to Zoids Evolution. I've found scans of concept art that I suspected to exist, but have never seen up until now. Looks like Spino Sapper for example was not intended to be a Spinosaurus from the start, but some random dinosaur, like a spiritual successor to the Godos.
