I hope Wild Zero gets an English Dub.

So the Hasbro kits come with painted pilots?
I don't know anything about the first Wild Anime but that kid in Turtle is adorable.
I already own a Ganontortoise and I wish it came with that figure.

This is great news! I'll be picking both of these up as soon as they are available!

I'm sure the global situation put at least 6 more months delay into that. Plus, this ZW release features a new mainstream manufacturing process with the sprueless (or treeless) parts. How they are actually getting to treeless parts is unknown to me, but it does require either new molding technology, or post molding manufacturing steps.
With these new processes, TT may not have had a total production floor setup to handle the volume of a world wide release.
I think the first time I saw the treeless parts was in my CBZ Zoids, but Baratz may have been that way, too? Can't remember.
Factor in that, as well as all of the family safety tests and certifications (also slowed down by the current global situation), and I'm surprised they're going to release this soon. I guessed that the earliest would be next fall.
I know the animation aired on one of the subscription services, but I don't know if it aired on mainstream TV. Curious if that will happen, or not, between now and next fall.
I hope Hasbro will do a "full" release this time. I'd be happy to buy the CP kits online if that was the only way to get them. Never know what chain stores will carry.

At least if they're gonna change the names, they picked good ones. Can anyone look at those pictures and confirm those changes we saw to the molding?

Can't wait for this. I've introduced a few of my friends to Zoids over the years and a new western reboot is gonna go a long way to have new faces in the fandom.

Yeah even if Wild isn't quite the same thing (and it looks like Hasbro isn't even using that branding), and even if they're retooling them, any zoids exposure is good. Maybe Hasbro's sales will tell Tomy to get things back the way they were, or go ahead and rerelease some of the old ones (though I think at this point the OJR molds are toast)

Scorpear is actually sharpened for the Zoids Wild (Japanese) promo pictures. The Tomy kit is blunted like the Hasbro version. The ZW ones are painted too, unless you mean unpainted?
Don't mind the Tryke so much. TBH I prefer "stabby shield" over "let's ignore this is a trike and have a random drill". If anything it's one of the more sensible choices IMO, keeping the close range conflict further away from the pilot. Indifferent to Cannontoise, but sad about Spideath's changes. It looks much, much simpler, but we knew this way back when the first leaks dropped.
While I don't necessarily like the brown used on the bodies, the silver looks good, and I'll feel less bad about collecting these with limited shelf space when I already have a few of the Japanese versions. Looking forward to having the pilot figures at the very least. I find it interesting that they changed the size standards, though. It makes sense, physically, but I was scratching my head when I saw Tryke and Liger are the same price point. Not complaining to be skipping that Large price point, though! Cheap L-Size kits for everyone.

Yeah, weird to see Liger and Ganontoise (I don't know the English names, sorry!) in different size classes. One thing I thought was strange from the live stream was how they did not really acknowledge the fact that the anime and game came out so long ago in Japan that there are already sequels well underway to both.
They did however mention that the motors were sped up compared to the TT version, presumably so the sumo-pushing board "game" element works better. Would be interested to compare side by side.

I disagree entirely about Triceradogos because pilebunkers are really, really, really cool, but that's largely irrelevant as it's a matter of opinion. I do appear to have been wrong about the eyes being clear, at least. I don't own any Wild releases (though not for lack of interest), so that's my bad, same with the scorpion. Haven't even seen production versions of that one. I'm vehemently against any sort of mold simplification, though, so even if the eyes not being clear isn't a change, I definitely don't like them no longer being separate elements. On the other hand, I'm actually far, far less bothered by Spideath than I am Gannontoise or Triceradogos having actual functional gimmicks removed.

I think it's not only wrong to change things like this but it's kind of irritating that western companies just steamroll over nihon and their IPs so commonly. Buuuut whatever, no huge deal. Most Wild zoids already beg for some kind of modification
