Although I don't think we've got images of this kit yet, the latest issue of CoroCoro announced a "Rising Liger Infinity Blue" model kit, to be released with the Zoids Wild: Infinity Blast switch game. Its been a while since we've gotten a full blown kit for a game limited, so this is a welcome addition!
In other news, a playable demo of the game dropped today, accessible by entering code D3GM-3304-448B-Y0SB into the Japanese play store.

A good change from the armor pieces only! Also, for me the code hasn't been working, but the CoroCoro page I saw did mention an 8/14 start date which may have something to do with it.

A new video has been posted for Infinity Blast, and at the end we see our first look at the Rising Liger Infinity Blue Version, which has an amazing color.
Also, the trailer for the game!

So the cosmetic stuff seems nice. But in a game like this, what exactly are the different guns really going to do?
The Blue Rising Liger looks incredible omg
Is the English release of the first WILD Switch game going to come with its Zoids parts? I do NOT want to miss out on Blue Rising Liger when/if this sequel game hits the states.

I don't think the US has ever gotten the game exclusives, and with no mention of it on pre-orders, I'd err towards grabbing the Japanese version if possible!
This is blind theorizing, but guns could provide a few different gameplay benefits. Fast-firing spammage, long-range shots, heavy-hitter close range booms, etc. Will be interesting to see how it all evens out going forward.

This game should probably have its own thread once released, but I thought I'd put some general info. Plus hopefully we can get better footage than my "phone pointed at Switch screen" pics.
So I got the game demo to work-- needed to make a new JP-region Nintendo account to access the Japanese e-shop so the code would be recognized. It contains a portion of the customization mode plus a training mode to test run your custom Zoid, but still it's pretty cool. There's 6 Zoids available now:
Then the menu screen, which includes 1. Change Zoid 2. Change equipment 3. Change colors 4. Change moves 5. Change name. The equipment screen has a few but not too many options in this demo. Each slot more or less corresponds to the hard points on the actual Zoids models where you might place a weapon or accessory from the customization sets.
The color screen is where it gets interesting. Each Zoid has its own number of detail layers, though I think 6 would be the minimum- outer armor, main frame, mechanical details, misc details (like claws, teeth, etc), eyes, and caps- which is what the Gilraptor has for example. The Cannon Bull and Beast Liger have 10 layers, since things like the Bull's horns and the Liger's segmented armor have their own layers. There's only 10 colors in this demo, though certain colors like Bull's green armor are possible but only as a default/no color option for now now. It also looks like there is an additional tab to customize weapon and equipment colors, though it's grayed out, meaning almost all the equipment is a sort of olive green.
Unfortunately, it's a little limited with what you can do right now (especially without gray) but I really think this could be a decent way to quickly sketch out custom ideas or color schemes. I'm sure there are better examples out there already, but one fun thing is to try emulating other Zoids' colors with the ones we have here. It's too bad they didn't include Guylos green!
The last two screens, special moves and name. The moves do not really have many options right now, but it looks like you'll be able to change the special moves according to your preferences and the equipment installed, so the custom loadouts you pick will actually function. Lastly the name screen has three columns of the same keywords (Beast, Custom, Cannon, Custom, etc), so while it doesn't seem like you can fully type in "Darth Escargot Special" for example, you still have some latitude there.
Finally, you can test your Zoid in practice mode. Aside from having more ranged attack options in the special moves, the gameplay is basically identical to King of Blast just with some visual changes. I do feel a little bad for the Ganontas though, who has been chosen as the universal punching bag until the game actually comes out. Here's the best combo I found with the Cannon Bull, with what I'm calling the Peace Keeping Bureau colors:

I totally spaced on replying to this, but I just wanted to say thank you so much for the wide variety of images and information, dchan! I remember looking over these when they were first posted and being really excited about all the colors and options that I got totally lost on what I was doing, haha. I really love that blue and purple Gilraptor.
We've also got a new PV, which features several old Zoids, with a cool, detailed rendering style!

While I still think the gameplay looks a bit stale, the old Zoids look really nice. Fanservice works I guess....because I am hype for a Zoids game. I will need to keep my eyes on reviews of the previous entry once it makes it west.
Now it comes with cannons AND a blue liger?

The Liger is a special edition of the game, and the cannons are a pre-order bonus~

The problem with having Wild and old-style Zoids in the same game is, aren't the scales wildly different? I mean, shouldn't all of the Wild Zoids look like miniatures next to a Blade Liger or Geno?

Yup. Wild Zoids should come up to the knee of most 1/72 Zoids.

The short answer is that games and media in general take liberties with technicalities, because being overly literal can drag down the media. It'd be a sad loss to lose all of these old-timey Zoids because of scale technicalities. It benefits from not taking itself too seriously. The long answer is, scale in Wild is wildly inconsistent. The box lore sticks to the standard set by earlier kits. Ie. Beast Liger isn't much bigger than Wild Liger, because they use the same base for the model kits. This suits Wild fine, but it's worth noting that the boxes have no ongoing stories or anything. And what lore they do have, is pretty much universally ignored by everything else. Wild Zero makes the conscious choice to size the Zoids up (almost all of them). They now have cockpits that are sized to fit a grown man, in place of a saddle that would once be crowded by a child. Some Zoids are also MUCH larger than their model counterparts, like in CC/GF. The Genospino is larger than many of the OG Zoids, if you compare its anime height to Rising Liger's model kit stats, not even taking into account the fact that Anime!Rising is also sized up from its model stats. The perspective of the screenshot below places Bladey as being decently bigger than Beast Liger, but not really to the extent that the model stats would suggest. Overall, I think ignoring scale is the best option for the game. People will get a lot more out of having their OG Zoids than they would out of having 100% scale accuracy that excludes them, and scale accuracy doesn't really exist in the context of Zoids Wild enough to be a reliable resource. Especially since the games are focused on anime characters, not original ones.

Admittedly the scale between the newer Zoids isn't accurate either (the Genospino should be a looot larger than it is).
Out of curiosity, how annoying, or even possible, is it going to be for someone in the US to preorder this game? Don't need the Rising Liger repaint, but I'm contemplating trying to get those preorder bonus cannons.
