Had considered picking up the Buster, but to be honest, the Cannon Tortoise was the worst HMM I have ever built. It felt like a badly made bootleg. The parts didn't line up well and had an almost... squeaky misfit feel to it. The parts would rub against others in annoying ways, and the whole thing just felt... bad. That was the first issue of it. A shame, as I actually quite like the design. The hidden platforms and stuff, but not very confident that the buster would be better. Might I ask what you didn't like about it?

Might I ask what you didn't like about it? I can't really remember, tbqh. I built it back when it came out, so it must've been like 10 years at this point. Similar issues with parts fit as what you're talking about, probably. There's generally a pretty big difference in quality between the smaller and the bigger HMMs, though, if we're honest. I'm working on an Iguan at the moment, and it's... not a great kit.

It would be nice if they tweaked the kit up and finished those issues. I do rather like the conversion of the original, though I felt the tank turret feature wasn't quite in the same spirit as the massive fixed artillery piece.

I'm building the re-released Saber Tiger now, and I have to agree that the parts fit on the older kit leaves a lot to be desired. I guess fixing every individual part would have been too much to hope for, but it does give me pause when thinking about buying the ones I missed out on the first time around, like these tortoises. Such cool designs too.
