The second weapon set revealed is the Dash Breaker Unit, which includes quite a few close range weapons. It also includes several rereleases from the earlier weapon sets, which are marked with a *. This isn't necessarily a set back, since it includes more unique weapons than either of the earlier sets, so the newly included weapons are just a bonus at this point.

That's correct! All of the Wild Zero weapons are designed with both ports and pegs, so the weapons can be stacked to make your own designs. They're sturdy enough that people have stacked them to 2-3x the width of the Zoid, as well as made their own Zoids using only the weapons. In this case, a recreation of Serpent.

TT has shown off some of these weapons before on twitter, as customization examples, as well as some we've not yet seen released. Here's an example of the Mega Lance, which can be turned into a long lance using the guns. Here's a pic of some weapons shown off at an event. And another customization example.

I love things like this. This is what Blox should have been more like, instead of all those awkward pegs and weak holes that didn't hold together

Agreed, BLOX in all honesty were quite limited in what you could create that looked coherent. A lot of these combinations look legit.

While I do like the sharper details and shapes of the weapon sets, I would have to do some real shaving and shaping on many of them. Still, I should shop for some before they vanish and become $50 eBay collectibles.

This item has just gone up on the TakaraTomy Mall! It looks like they changed the colors for the final release, probably to differentiate it from the WHF versions of the weapons, which were released in silver. It includes a full set of the previously-released Assault Boost Unit in black (formerly silver). Most interesting, it includes images of the Sonic Bird, which although we've seen leaks of, we haven't heard a whisper of in an official capacity yet.
