Can someone give me a fair idea of shipping a Death Saurer and Gojulas Giga both MIB to the UK? I've been quoted £100, should I go for it?

That 100 is Pounds., right? If so: According to this site, it's about $184. Death Saurer is about $60 full U.S. retail, and that's stretching it. Gojulas Giga might be about $50, again streching it, so that leaves about $74 for shipping. That sounds really expensive to me..., course, I haven't done much shipping.....

If it's that much, then I wouldn't but I don't know how much you can spend, so...

How exactly did you order? it all looks horribly confusing, and the guy who runs the site's English is(understandably) not that great. I don't understand the difference between SAL, EMS and Air Mail(apart from cost, obviously), but what about weight? is all this worked out online?
Questions. Questions.

Right... When you look at the Zoids, There is a picture, a price (In $) and a weight. The weight determines how much you will pay for shipping. As to methods, EMS is quicker and insured, Air mail is slightly faster and SAL takes a while but is significantly cheaper. in the 'How to ship' section, you can work out how much it will cost by considering the weight of the items and method to ship.

OK, thats good so far, but do you process the order online, and be given a final figure to pay i.e. does the site itself work out the costs for you, taking into account your payment and delivery choices?
These may seem like really trivial questions but I'm really green when it comes to ordering stuff from abroad, hence I don't have a clue.

No, you work it out yourself and then when the order is placed they provide you with the exact costs by e-mail. I managed to work it out with only a £2 error. I's fairly straight forward once you get your head around it!

Right, i've worked it out. Combined shipping to the UK is about £16.81 by SAL, Deathsaurer is about £16.46 and Giga should be about £20.57. That's...let's see... a total of about £53. A little bit cheaper, eh?

Christ thats amazingly cheap! if these Zoids actually came out in britain you'd probably have to more! One more question: Import Tax, do we have to pay it for shippings from Taiwan?

Don't think so. You might get hit if you ship by EMS (not sure), but i only use airmail or SAL and I've never paid it.

Right, i've spoken to my bank, they've spoken about international cheques, with a charge for writing one out:£0-100 - £8 charge. £100.1 - £5000 - £16. so it's orders under £100 for me, there may be other ways(not including PayPal) but its all new to me.

I'm not sure if he accepts cheques, check under his 'how to pay' bit. I've always used Paypal for my orders, but if you can't...
