Thanks for the info Han. However they can go bleep themselves with their overpriced (because of aftermarket) limited editions. Because releasing things in quantity of 100 will only result in scalpers asking insane prices.. I'll just buy a can of paint or something.. Oh and they forgot his tail by the way..

I'm glad that (as far as I know at least) the limited edition Zoids are just color differences-- something that can be easily recreated with a simple paint job. With model kits I've found limited editions are almost always frustrating to get, whether it's Takara Tomy, Koto, Bandai, or whoever else.

We now have several CoroCoro limiteds, and it's a little painful to see. Death Rex Purple Dragon Form is selling pretty reliably at $1100. That's a ton. Unfortunately these clear kits are also much harder to reproduce, and there are 3 so far (thankfully Guren was rereleased at WHF). Unfortunately Magazine limiteds (in even smaller quantities than this even) are nothing new for Zoids, so I doubt they'll go away any time soon. Here's hoping Hasbro might rerelease some of them as international kits.

I'm with ultimateultrasaurus on this one - as long as these are just straight recolors, I'm very comfortable with just skipping them. I buy two of every regular release specifically so that I can paint them, so if one of these ends up looking really great, I can always just steal the idea.

And I was thinking I was the only one buying doubles In case of Hunter Command I just have to grab my second Hunter (and indeed in the long run paint one red) Latest "project" is Gil Commanders, 1 regular, 1 to be combined with red Gil to make a purple red one and 1 to make an all black one. Still not okay with the Clear Liger and Beast Liger though..

If the price isn't too much (~$100), I get some of the limited kits. The $1100 plus kits is absolutely insane.

I mean I sort of get it, since of all the limited releases that one does look the coolest/most different. But that's a crazy high markup. At least the others seem like they're obtainable for "only" $50-100 range from what I've seen.
