A new version of the Godos, the Godos Old Republic Spec has been announced at the Stand River 2nd Battle event. This version will feature different colors as well as an entirely new head design, mirroring that of the older motorized Zoids. Further Viewing:- Official Tweet |

Honestly, I'm really just stoked that the old whitehead cockpit is finally getting an HMM adaptation.
I'll probably get this one - I built the original version back when I didn't paint things and just panel lined it, and it could use a do-over with a proper paintjob and weathering.

I would like to see some improvments to the weaponry and joint quality, but Godos is a good kit. Just...please no marbeled plastic.
I wonder if it will include the weapons from the previous Godos, or the alternative cockpit.

Oh, this one really interests me... It would be awesome to mold and cast these old style cockpits and see a wave of "original" whitehead customs!

Preorder is up on HLJ. It seems to come with quite a bit of extra stuff, but I mostly just ordered one because I built my original HMM Godos way back in the Dark Days of No Painting and this is a good excuse for a do-over.

Correction: I ordered two. For some reason I'm really excited about this kit. I mean, obviously because Trooperzoid was one of my faves when I was like 7 years old. I also wanted to make sure I had enough of the old Helic symbol in waterslide form because this means I can now finally do the Zillon repaint with the correct symbol on the cockpit. |
