Wow the design decisions are still really poorly made.. Most people aren't okay with 9 out of 10 of the WB moves. TT insists on giving all the Zoids that gimmick. Okay, but when you make an Anky all he needs to do is swing his tail, either up and down or left and right. Instead they made it fold onto his back..
And then Pachy. What should that one do? Just ram his head forward, real simple concept. "But wait it needs a gimmick so we'll make the top part of his skull come out instead.." Seriously?? And we'll just leave off even more armor..

Pachy will never make sense to me. It just feels entirely counter productive and pointless, other than maybe absorbing some shock, but even then it seems like what the Zoid can do on its own. Anky, while being one of the most hated Wild Blasts for me, actually turned out to make some of the most sense as another mode. The hammer extends and swings rapidly around the Zoid, so it gains increase in range, direction, and momentum, compared to what it could do just swinging its tail. This way, Anky is no longer vulnerable on the front and sides. Still, I would like to see it swinging the tail without the Wild Blast mode, too.

The Ankyrocks looks really neat! but not too keen on the dimetraguana. And is it me, or do all of the theropods look the same?

Okay, NOW the Anky tail design makes more sense. I can start to like it a bit more, now!

CoroCoro has posted a new review video of this guy. We suspected it was called Ankylox to begin with, and the teaser said Ankyrocks. They decided to meet in the middle and confirmed that its name to be Ankyrox.

Okay, having actually seen the thing walking, I am officially liking this model. Still not super enthused about the Wild Blast mode, but the kit looks nice and solid, and the walk looks very effective for having such simple leg parts. This one is on my buy list.

Interesting.... noticed his mouth snaps open and then closes more slowly. I'm still not wild about the wild blast mode (well, the wild blast concept, really), but I can see a cool alternative for the mechanic.... attach the tail to a joint at the base and then use the rotating portion as a mount for either a radar, weapon system, or as the plugin for the Beam Gatling (as intended with Dark Horn). Still, I'm liking this kit.

Does anyone have this thing yet? It went straight from preordered to backordered for me on HLJ, and now I'm still waiting. Grumblegrumble.

Yep, I'm in the same boat. Waiting on Catalga and Ankyrox now. I'm thinking of switching to Amiami but the HLJ warehouse function (when things actually are in stock) is so useful. Grumblegrumble indeed!
