very disappointed in the joint situations It bothers me a lot more with the ligers, mostly because the liger legs were basically the pinnacle of Zoids engineering, and now they've been replaced with single chunks of plastic. At least the Grizis' legs are two pieces...

...and here's my video review of the Corocoro 100 Zero Grizis Dark Form. I really can't shut up about how cool this thing is, so if you want to hear me go into great and excruciating detail about why black works better with grey than silver, this is your jam. Or just skip to the last four minutes for the picture gallery.

Excellent review! And man, you've got a nice camera for these. I think probably my favorite aspect of the Dark Form is the cannon spinning inside the chest cavity before it opens up the Wild Blast. It looks like fire burning inside a furnace.

Honestly, I'm still using my phone for the pictures and videos... I think about getting a real camera sometimes, but I just can't justify the expense. I do have a photo booth, though, and that makes a big difference. Between that and a little tweaking with the color levels in Photoshop, you can make plastic toys look really sharp.

That's a big boy! I would love to get that kit... and one for my Dremel. ^_^

Maybe we'll be lucky and hasbro will make that their primary mass-produced release color, and not change all the engineering around.

You know, I can tell myself that, but the only proof I'd have that it's not just the Hasbro version and I threw the box away is that little leaflet with the parts list that came with it and actually has its proper name on it in Japanese. We'll see, though. We're probably about two years out from the Hasbro version of the Grizis anyway.

Fwiw, I don't think you'd benefit much from a real camera. Your photos are just fine as is. What lighting do you use for the photo booth?
To be fair, some of those wide releases seem to have some difference! Maybe Grizis would too, like Fuzors Vs. Hasbro Seismosaurus. The CoroCoro Death Rex is also slightly pinker than the Pal-Shop one.

I agree; your setup give excellent perspective and shows off the details, and that is what really counts in a review vid!

Here's the Burning Liger. I'm already working on a separate video for the Impact Gatling that should be up tomorrow.

I have a generic Amazon-branded photo booth and I just use the built-in lights, nothing more. It lights things fine, I just wish there was a built-in way to switch out the backdrop because while white looks nice and clean, it doesn't work well if the Zoid is also brightly colored, like the Beast Liger. Plus it'd be nice to have a simpler way to put in dark backgrounds for more dramatic shots of painted builds.

Boy I just kind of like it and kind of don't. These are problems the super rich don't have to bother with. I feel like when we were kids, you just kind of bought what was in stock and had a lot of different things to choose from...
