hello. i recently bought a poorly z-knight (hardware) his motor runs happily in one direction but very stuttery in the opposite. looking at it the metal case has rust on the outside so i figure its on its way out is there a replacement motor out there with the correct worm gear already fixed to it? can someone link me to an ebay listing or somewhere else to get them from please? thanks in advance jim

I would suggest popping the motor out and doing two things:
1) see if there are any identifying marks/serials on it somewhere
2) post pictures of the motor and see if someone can visually locate a replacement. Some Zoiders carry kits for extra parts, or can spot a replacement motor in their collection. Even if they don't have a spare, they may be able to narrow your search: "hey, that motor looks identical to the one in Seismosaurus!"

thanks for the help. i took it apart again the other day while turning it RC. the motor had no markings but heres a pic of it anyways. funnily enough it started working normally.....all i can presume is there was corrosion on the stator and a bit of use wore it off. it was less the motor size im worried about but finding one with the exact same worm drive screw on its output. anyways thanks for the help...ill get round to posting up some pics of the finished "RC hardware z-knight"

There could have been corrosion or it just needed a little bit of jostling. That looks like a motor I have in my drawer, by the way, but there is no way I can know if it would be the correct speed.
