Hi! Since we are moving we are putting our figures in boxes and my girlfriend noticed that some of her figures that were in a display cabinet seems to have some grease on them. They look oiily and are sticky. Why does this happen? Does it have a solution? I hope you can notice it in the pictures below. Thank you!

This happens when one of the compounds oozes, especially if it's exposed to heat or in an enclosed space. Even still, it's just bound to happen over time with softer plastics, and it looks like some of those are exactly that. You should be able to clean most of them with just soapy water, such as dish soap. I'm not sure if this is safe for all materials, but it works well enough for the figures I've had.

Whoa! Thank you a lot! Our house is quite hot and they were in the glass cabinets, so 2/2, hahahaha.
We will do the soapy water technique.

i had lego that used to do they same....i always thought it was the plastic turning slowly back into the oil from whence it came dinosaurs made oil......oil made plastic.....plastic makes plastic dinosaurs...so my plastic dinosaurs are made out of real dinosaurs
