Reminds me of the awesome old Zoids commercials-- really like seeing the customs, especially the Rex. Would be great if they did some behind the scenes stuff or documentation of the individual models. Thank you Takara Tomy for making cool things!

Played the game already. I dont know if every magazine has its own code, but you can choose between several colours. In the demo you can only choose between Gannontoise and Wild Liger.

At long last, Fang Tiger has an order page! It releases on the 26th of January for 3240 yen. Oh, and Spydeath is open for pre-order too (same release date, 1296 yen), but let's be honest, we're mostly here for Fang Tiger. There's also apparently some kind of game called Battle Card Hunter which seems to involve some mini-arcade-unit-thing that you put collectible cards into? It looks to be pretty similar to the Switch game, at least visually, though I have no doubt the gameplay will be considerably simplified. The pre-order pages on TT's site saying it's due in January, and Dengeki Hobby has an article on it.

The funny thing about the video to me is that it is essentially an admission to the fans that this is really what they want: grittier designs with modern armament. The whole video is basically what the new Zoids could have been without the "all animal" focus. Well done, though!

Yeah, agreed. I think there's no reason they can't acknowledge both the older fans with something like this while aiming the overall marketing towards younger kids... I feel it's just so unusual that they actually did so in such a cool way.

The little soldiers and everything.. You can actually buy that these are pretty cool machines despite the smaller scale! I couldn't make out any of the riders though, were those still there?

I could not locate one of the riders i guess they did not put them on the zoids. But i really like this movie it is also bit retro with the buildings and explosions made with pyro s.o. Cougan

Look it's Dimetro (which actually looks much better than the first pic we saw) But that walking motion of Spideath...hmmm.. disappointing, not to speak of the WB move.. Well at least he looks cool (except for the really wrong color they chose.. Black would have been much better..)

I agree, the Dimetrodon type looks better here. And seeing them as a group, I start to appreciate them a little more than individually. It's kind of strange, just seeing one on its own makes me think it's just "smaller Ultrasaurus" or "less armored Iron Kong with no weapons". But as a whole my reaction instead becomes more like "hey these are pretty cool!" Even the Tiger/Liger kitbash looks way better than some of the other suggestions they've had.

I see it this way too. And i am really looking forward to get Dimetrodon, seems to be bigger than i expected. Cougan

And this move (Spideath) shows that it was made to look cool as it goes down a piece of string (which indeed looks good, as opposed to the walking or WB action) so they focused on that and that makes it allright. Because that makes him quite unique. Also it looks a bit more like lavender than light blue which would also suit him better in a way. Merry Christmas by the way to all Zoids fans! www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GdlutVPxwE

Odd about Spideath's "walk".... it doesn't. The same legs lift and lower as it rolls forward; they don't cycle to walk the model forward, or even cycle to APPEAR as if they walk it forward. The design is great, but the engineering for motion isn't there.

Someday I hope we'll get a large batt-op spider whose legs have multiple joints and actually attempt to walk realistically. Of course I don't expect it to actually pull itself along on its feet without being super lightweight, but if it can just pretend while wheels carry it...
