I just realized how much that guy looks like Brock from the back-
Yeah, the animation wasn't great, and the battle was 100% reused animation. Not that it's anything new.
The price is pretty standard for Blu-rays in Japan. What guts me though is the lack of extras. Really, there's nothing to be desired from these Blu-rays so far. Hopefully there's some nice features on the disc.

If it's like the other Blu-rays though all the worthwhile in disc extras will be in the last volume.

This is very true. The other volumes really had nothing extra. Hopefully they'll switch it up a bit since they're doing single volume releases? Even if it were just something simple like profiles, turnarounds of the Zoids, etc. Especially if they used more dynamic images. That's something I really liked about some of the Genesis DVDs. We also have a nice clear image of the silver peel for the Death Rex~ |

Or wouldn't it even be nice if they done another CGI intro thing like they did with Blade Liger. Still an absolutely amazing little clip to this day making one wish for a movie in that style. Would be interesting to see wild liger in that style I wonder how a zoids eye would look.
That Death rex clip is crystal clear! Wow. shiny beauty. And thanks Coro coro for actually letting us watch it overseas.

TT has put up Gusok, Stegosage, and Awakened Wild Liger for pre-order, to be released on the 10th of November. Lots of good pics, including new box art for Awakened Wild Liger. Gusok still raises questions about how on earth somebody's supposed to hold onto it when it's rolling, it looks like you actually have to remove the pilot for the wild blast to work. |

Looking forward to the Stegosage for sure! Awakened Wild Liger's boxart looks awful, but I'm more interested in the CoroCoro booklet anyway~ I'd love to get the Gusok, but we'll have to see how the month goes. Stegosage is top priority! AmiAmi has also stocked the Zoids Wild Blu-Rays/DVDs. EDIT: CoroCoro has posted a video showing off the Death Rex! It's looking good. Still wish it was a tiny bit bigger, but the design is beautiful. A must have for my collection. |

Ahh it's beautiful! So long as it towers over a raptor enough in order to re-create a head munching scene I am happy. Will definitely be grabbing one myself too.

I'm liking the look of the Stegosaurus and Pillbug, in spite of its apparently disregard for its rider haha. The Death Rex is growing on me too.
How are you all watching the episodes? I've been relying on Falcarius' subtitles so haven't got past episode 7, unless I missed any later updates.

I just watched them in Japanese (after episode 7) and try to fill in the blanks (most stuff is context sensitive and sort of understandable) but episode 10 was a lot to take in, rap "battles", jokes, talking back and forth etc so I had no clue what was going on haha) By the way next episode Knuckle Kong (ep 16) |

That's a good point, after all it's not like I'm watching the show for the subtlety and nuance of its dialogue. So far I've found it to be quite up and down-- I found the beginning promising, especially how the Liger wasn't putting up with Arashi's incompetence. Then the Team Rocket episode torpedoed most of the good will I had towards it. Then I liked Penne's introduction episode... which was almost immediately equalized with the two hat-wearing chiefs one. Anyway, looking forward to the Kong, hope it looks cool in motion.
