Saw it on youtube (RAW), the villains seem to be fun let's see till the main antagonist appears to spice things up.

So, I have seen the first 10 minutes of episode one. I am not really interested in watching the rest.
Before I say the innevitable, let me just clear the air; what I am about to say comes from a place of objectivity, with consideration given to my own bias' and context of age when compared to the older series.
This show is kind of a dumpster fire.
I do not want to come off as a negative nancy, something I realize I may tend to often do with newer Zoids stuff (i.e Zoids FOR) but wow. I havent seen a show try so little in a long time.
I will probably go watch Genesis, since I never bothered with past episode 4 or so. The new kits have me craving Zoids anime, just not Wild.

So, uh... I posted a subtitle file for episode 1 in the /r/Zoids Discord last night, and within 5 hours there were hardsubbed versions floating around the internet. Unfortunately whoever hardsubbed it used a TV rip instead of the (region-locked) official Youtube version, so all the timing is about a second off. Hopefully this might get fixed if I put the word out, but in the meantime, you can watch a properly-timed version by downloading the Youtube version (I'll let you figure out how ) and adding this subtitle file (if you have VLC, you can just drag and drop it onto the video). EDIT: Here's a quick-and-lazy fix for the TV rip version - a copy of the subtitle file with all the times moved back 1 second.

Omg many thanks Falcarius for providing us with such perfectly timed subtitles! I added them to the official YT video :> On a side note, I was positively surprised by the first episode and it exceeded all my expectations so far. Sure, it's not CC or NCZ, and the designs are a stark contrast to those times, but honestly it's far better than what I was expecting and the humor is so right up my alley x3 It's funny but not childish, Arashi is more mature and sassy than I would have thought (which is a positive surprise as I can't stand kiddy characters), the bit of plot-armor I can ignore (smashing an incoming meteor to pieces just like that? Gilvader would weep), the cast is very diverse (love Death Metal/Team Skull meets a buncha drag queens), the animation quality is definitely on the better side, and we get sentient autonomous Zoids??! Also the VAs are pleasant to listen to (and that's coming from someone who always prefers dubs over subs lol). TL;DR: I'm excited for the next episode and how the story will progress. Even if it's just slice-of-life moments with Arashi and the Wild Liger that'd be more than what I could wish for~

Simply brilliant Falcarius! I watched it 4 times but it would be so much better if I knew what they were saying

I think ive said this before, but ya, the VA work is very very good.
So far, Bacon and Sauce have to be my favorites. But I just cant get behind the script.

Starting this week, MBS Radio is going to be running a "Wild Blast Radio" program every Thursday from 2 to 2:30 am (Japan time), featuring voice actor appearances, listener submissions and so on. Also, Amazon is now listing volume 1 of the manga with a 28/08 release date, although I don't know how accurate it is.

Yeah I thought it was okay. Not going to hold my attention, but that's mainly due to the poor quality of the action. There's a lot of just standing around when there should be energetic movements and whatnot

Definitely exceeded my expectations, interesting direction for the franchise. I'm just good to see Takara-Tomy breathing new life back into it!
Obviously is more of a kid-friendly series with the slower pace, vaguely reminded me of the standard Pokemon episode where there's a lot of standing around, monologuing, etc, to set up the plot points for the younger audience. Excited to see where this goes.
Thank you for the subs Falcarius!!!

Well, I haven't had any luck trying to access MBS Radio so far, and I'm going to be asleep when they run the Zoids Wild segment anyway. I guess I'll just have to hope someone else manages to record it.
By the way, a bit of trivia that I don't think anyone has mentioned here yet: Bacon's voice actor (Takahiro Sakurai) also did the Japanese voices for Bit Cloud, Hiltz, Ambient, Rokai (the guy who stole the Urban Combat Command Wolf), Dellis (one of Prozen's assassins), and Jean Holiday (the circus ringleader/Zoid thief from Fuzors). As far as I know, the only other Zoids Wild voice actor to appear in any of the previous series is Tomokazu Seki, who voiced Captain Tsubaki (the officer with the katana from the Devil's Maze episode), Alpha Richter, Arrow (the protagonist of VS3), and now Emperor Gallagher.

I watched it about 6 times now (and now luckily with subs, thanks again!) and I do think it could be a nice anime. Of the 4 series I liked CC and Genesis the most, story wise. And I remember watching the first few episodes of Genesis and thought it started a bit slow and didn't much like the constant Raptor enemy encounter. But in the end it was really good. So I don't think we can really judge Zoids Wild on just one episode. Sure it's a bit more for the kids maybe, but still it could be really nice though.
