I noticed that I couldn't put up a want add, but I am curious to know if anyone can help or if they do resin or casting of parts. Mostly for cockpits.
I'm trying to make a model, a specific one for a friend of mine in memorandum. She's actually been on here. I've planned to make her custom command wolf from the site we were on that she used. It was a juggernaut aka climber wolf. And although I doubt anyone's made parts to turn the HMM Command Wolf into the Climber/Juggernaut, I know there are people that know and do the cockpit glass recolors. I'm asking for help on that, not only because I cannot purchase what I need to make a mold, pour the mix, ect, but also because I am pregnant and cannot handle chemicals. All my building is even on hold because the paints are toxic to my son. And then once I have him, I will have limited time to make/paint/build the zoid, and I can't devote time to learning and perfecting a single cockpit for a bit. I'm wondering who do I ask or where do I post my request? I am willing to pay for the efforts and to have it shipped, and I have plenty of time for it. I have, according to my due date, 99 days to go. I'm not even asking for specific parts to turn it into a different zoid, just want to know if anyone can help me get a specific colored cockpit for her wolf.
If this isn't supposed to be here, feel free to delete. Sorry if I put it in the wrong place.

Your best bet is actually to acquire one of the clear cockpit sets that come with the base HMM Wolf and dye it to the color you want. The original Command Wolf comes with both orange and clear sets.

Small correction The Base Hmm Command Wolf, as well as the Repackage, include Orange and Smokey canopy parts. The HMM CP-02 includes the clear canopy and gold chrome parts I can sell you the clear parts without the chrome ones if you would like PM me if you are interested Otherwise, I would suggest finding the HMM Customize Part-002

@renegadefox89 First, my condolences on the loss of your friend and my congratulations on your baby... the circle of life, indeed. I am not sure why you can't post an ad, but I think it is okay to let this post slide.

Darth Pardus- I don't know how to get those parts. I already got the command wolf repackaged version. That itself was a 6 month nightmare. I don't have the ability to get the original. I avoid Ebay like the plague after hearing how many scalpers and scammers are on it.
Leon- The smokey colored cockpit is just too dark for the recoloring. If it wouldn't inconvenience you, sure. My question though is how would I recolor it to the right color? Her wolf's cockpit was, bare with me, soft pink. I don't want it to not be translucent and am not sure what paint would work best to do that. At least I'd only be interested in the head's cockpit glass.
Maethius- Thanks. I'm still learning the site, and from what I read I could only post selling and trading topics in the other topic section of the site. It said nothing about want ads being allowed, so I came here with a question rather than ask flatly in people had a part. I wanted to know if people knew how and would be willing to help me first.

If you want to recolor the clear plastic, I would recommend buying the RIT dye packet in the color darker than the shade you want. Then heat a strong mixture of dye and water and soak the parts until you get what you desire. Sometimes it takes a while, but the results are permanent and more uniform than a color coat spray. Good luck!

You can also find a lot of translucent paints online~ Shop around for reds or purples. A red would probably work best since, the more layers you apply the darker it gets. So a single layer of red would probably look pretty pink.
Dying is a great option for durable parts, but test with a thinner part of the sprue first to make sure it can withstand the heat. HMM parts are quite narrow, so I'm not sure if it'd work as well or cause minor warping.

I think I'll go with your option, Darth. Only way I put on paint is with a brush (or toothpicks even) and the lighter more see through paints like to always show brush strokes. RIT packets can be found on amazon hopefully, right?
