HISTORYAs the war cabinet of the Helic Kingdom was developing the RBOZ-024-X Supreme King Gojulas, they were also seeking to upgrade the Helic core combatants to excel against the latest generation of adversary units. The RZ-114 was created as a way to narrow the base ground unit corps of a dozen light to medium Zoids, from the old Godos models to the newer Blade Ligers, to a select few multi-role units. The first of these new Zoids is the Aerogeist. Inspired by the Arosaurer and success of the Eradicator's design, his Zoid is on the smaller, sleeker side of the ground Zoid lines. It was intended as a fast and stealthy platform that is capable of defense penetration, interdiction, and direct confrontation with multiple units from light to heavy. My fifth commissioned custom, the Aerogeist started out as a plan to articulate an Arosaurer but quickly grew into something a little more extreme. Please stop by the custom's build page and let me know your thoughts: RZ-114 Aerogeist. Thanks in advance for your comments and suggestions. ]\/[

I love the overall design. It's really nice that it has a modest crest; often people have to make it ridiculously tall to make it scream Allosaurus, but this does a great job of representing the dinosaur. A very cool choice for claws, too.
I think my favorite thing by far is its excellent posture. The whole body has a nice flow of movement. Only thing that really threw me was that the arms looked bulkier than the legs, but looking at the build page I think that's just a matter of perspective.

Thank you much, folks! Hanyoutai- I originally had smaller arms, but my client specifically asked me to "overbuild" them a little to help separate it from the typical T-Rex silhouette we are used to seeing. I did want to restructure the claws (3 on top, no thumb) and articulate them, but the idea was dropped in favor of using that time to improve the feet and head. So your eye is correct! The arms are about 25% larger than on a true-to-scale Allosaurus.

@shovelchops81 - It was bigger than expected for me, too! Thing just kept growing! Thanks for the link; I've thought about casting some of my own parts and using the pigment could really work well together. Since it is so grainy, do you know if the parts would still be strong with the powder embedded, or might it tend to be brittle? darksoul - Thankee! I hope my next one continues the tradition!

Looks great! Allosaurus is one of my favorite dinos. I'd love to see you do a colorful custom sometime.

I always love your big projects, but the downtime between them is almost maddening.
I love these last few smaller-scale projects you have done. This Zoid and the Redler look fantasic. If you still have the redler, please post pictures of them together!
(I love your new logo btw)

Well clear resins have always been brittle by nature, a sort lollipop hardness that makes them prone to chipping and cracking if you were to drop them on a marble floor for example or even shattering in that scenario. But they've gotten more resilient lately with EasyFlo polymers for example, more tough than hard. As for mixing in the powder, well it's not like GPS if that's what you're worried about since that is actual metal flakes that don't bond or dissolve at all causing it's brittleness. The powders mix well with the resin and are very fine, I'm pretty sure they dissolve and become part of the resin mix as a whole so won't have the drawback of gold plastics etc.. if not they are so fine it appears to be dissolved so shouldn't hamper the resin's integrity from a modeller's point of view.

Enbahan - I love the allosaurus, too (I dig theropods... see what I did there?) I might do a colorful custom someday, but what I've made thus far go hand in hand with my Age of War theme; not a lot of colorful tanks out there. ^_^ Leon35 - The huge projects are a bit of a pain that way; I'm glad to be working on some stuff I can get out there faster! The next huge one I have in the works will probably be done in the background as I put these other commissions together. (Thanks for the logo comment! I'm looking to brand myself this year!)

Well, it WAS an Arosaurer! (Actually, it was 1.05 Arosaurers!) I really like coming closer to the actual silhouettes of real animals (when possible)
