So it's basically an improved King of Flexible Liger Zero. Now, the questions are: is it metal or durable plastic (probably plastic, if I'm right about the ZA series), and when do the armors come out?

Ahahahaha oh what a non surprise! Jumping on that cash cow early are we Koto? Gosh I'm so used to the little bump up and curve that the HMM's head has that this now looks like his head got squashed by an iron. I'm really surprised the armor comes off though. Thought for sure it would be like the others, but maybe that means they'll release armors only like with the HMMs? I'd be down for one Zero and a few armors if that's the case. I mean we all know the other armors are coming.

see when I was a kid all we ever wanted was having a complete and consistent collection of something, and they all went together.. but even back then they had weird like, different sizes of the same toys.. what's the point? they'll just stand out and not fit but at the same time, these various versions are all so cool in their own ways!!

Now that is a question I understand! While most of the kits were 1/72, I wondered by Hasbro (though, was never really a fan of their quality anyway) went and made two giant Zoids (of the same team, so you know, not even face off type of thing) a bunch of minis. Same really for the Jurassic World line they are doing now, their only consistency is that all the small figures are the same size as each other, which doesn't even work anyway cause they made T-rex and Velociraptor the same size as each other, etc. As an adult it's a bit easier for me to understand and enjoy the various scales in the new kits anyway, like the ZA and Tomytec lines, but as a kid it ground my gears lol And I would bend to the worst whim of anyone to have a 1/72 Liger Zero in this exact same form lol

You can just see why the executives (in america at least) think that's a good idea.. they dont think kids are discerning at all, and will just get the character with the name they know, at whichever price point they can afford. but at a basic level you're competing with yourself. If the characters are different sizes, the toys should be. but american stores insist on having consistent price points (and in fairness our cashiers work hard enough as it is) so that screws over a lot of imports, especially transformers. plus we have useless safety laws that mean you can't sell the CP sprues in their typical plastic wrapping

And yeah, while I understand the child safety thing, I think just being more strict about making sure certain ages ranges are clarified (for example, say, Zoids being 14+) would be a lot nicer quality wise than trying to cater to all ages all the time, despite the boxes saying not for younger children anyway. I guess Hobby Search and it's competitors will continuously get money from me forever 8°3 lol

That's why I am exclusively collecting the Tomytec Zoids right now. I don't have a lot of shelf space, and for the price, I am getting really well put together, pose-able toys that are super small and really detailed. They all sit together on one shelf, far away from my 1/72 Zoids.
On that same note, I don't like to display HMM's alongside my Hasbro and TOMY kits. The differences are too much and I only end up seeing the flaws in both kits.
Now that I think about it, I don't have any of my HMM kits on display right now, mostly because they don't look good displayed next to all my other kits.

That is one of my favourite parts of the 1/100s. The apartment we are living in right now is extremely tight quarters, and I being a collector in general when my fiancee is not but still has his share of collectibles, I am kind of taking it over lol Smaller scale is a little nicer and more fair in that department.

They should give Berserk Fury a ZA figure one day.

They should give Berserk Fury a ZA figure one day. That's probably coming next after Liger Zero.
