Just updated the original post with pictures and an edited description all for the finished, sealed Molga! Check them out! Never thought the bronze would become glossy pitch-black, but it works (and is what I wanted from the start, anyway)! Looks almost as good as paint!

Just re-added pics because some of them glitched out/failed to load.

Looking good! I'm glad to see those setbacks didn't derail this project too badly

Yeah, the repainting was easy enough, just frustrating. In other news, I added a glob of clear nail polish to the base of the sniper rifle's handle to stick it to the rear of the torso, as I noticed that, over time, the barrel would droop over the Molga's head due to only one contact point with the body. It should be good when it dries.
Also, I successfully added a pilot seat to the tail, and just need to add a little embellishment before posting the final picture.

The "black" looks like a really deep purple... which, frankly, looks awesome. ^_^

The "black" looks like a really deep purple... which, frankly, looks awesome. ^_^ In truth, it is, but in-hand and with normal lighting, it is pretty much pitch-black. Still, in either lighting scenarios, it is indeed awesome. Still need to figure out how to make the "cockpit" in the tail more comfortable for the pilot. I got a silver chair I cut down from a spare Evil Scorpion customizing part, but I feel like I'm missing something...

I started buying 1/72 jet fighter ejection seats for some of my customs... they usually need to be trimmed quite a bit, but you gotta love the results!

Yeah, I think I just need to add a tiny screen for the pilot before I say it's 100% finished. The seat fits alright, and I don't really need anything special. But I gotta say, those ejection seats do look really nice and filling for the cockpits.

Finally added the pictures for the completed cockpit on the main post, check them out! I used a clear Lego piece for the screen, as well as a second one to prop up the rifle on the Molga's back, as it started to droop over time.

Hey, that Lego works really well! Maybe I should pick up some clears, huh? Nice job!

Hey, that Lego works really well! Maybe I should pick up some clears, huh? Nice job! Thanks!!! And yeah, Lego's variety of parts come in transparent/transluscent plastics all the time, and specific shapes and colors can be ordered from the Pick a Brick website- you never know when you'll find some use for them!

Not at all, and I'm glad you think so! You are being very active for a new member! What did you use for the sniper rifle? An action figure rifle? EDIT: Just saw that is what you used. Did you think maybe you could rig something to the sides of the molga to elevate the gun? Where the top most caps are . i been looking to up arm my molga too.

Well, the way the gun is attached, it isn't moving. I originally planned to make dual hydraulics, which I do have, but I underestimated their thickness, and also found no solid means of attaching them to the rifle itself. This whole build was a test for me, as I already see uneven coaating of sealer which I'll have to address eventually. But for what it is, I'm proud.
