I can see that, looking at the difference between the TT design and the HMM. I think we get used to only seeing HMM kits pitched these days and get used to their long, stretched aesthetic.

I definitely noticed the closer-to-anime features on these with the blade liger and it does indeed continue on the breaker here. I'm wondering, though, if that mouth is going to bother me and I'm going to be tempted to paint it… (My koto genos all got the bottom and roof of their mouths painted, don't like the all silver/white that koto does with them.) But I'm wondering if that'll even be possible given it's not a kit and you can't hold that single part in your hand. Plus my skill level hand painting isn't terribly good…..
Either way looks awesome! Glad to see them continuing with this line, hopefully we can get at least the same number of figures as we got kits from the HMM Line.

If you can pick up some masking tape it'll go a long way to keeping the mouth even. If it's not too microscopic, that is~

You can also try to use a little panel lining/dry brushing technique with the colors you ultimately want. Takes longer but gives you better color control.

Masking tape on something that hard to paint in (for me) would definitely be a must! Maethius: I've never tried dry brushing, but seems like the safest bet to me… Thank you both for the tips!

You betcha! The lack of precision in dry brushing can give you an easy out sometimes ("yeah, I meant to do that!")

ARrrghh! Even though I complained about the price I kinda really want one now! And the Blade Liger to go with it! *mumbles* Guess I'll just save up for it. Just hope shipping won't be too bad. Oh who am I kidding. I want all of them. All the ZA.
