Greetings, I started collecting Zoids about 14 years ago and for about 5 years or so had the greatest time doing so. Now i'm older, I travel a lot, and every time I move the old collection which had brought me so much joy is now too difficult to move. Pieces of important models always seem to get lost or broken.
Rather than spend time trying to squeeze value out of this collection, which has admittedly gone a little neglected, I would like to give them away to anyone who wants to give them a good home. This includes the larger models like my old Deathsaurer, Mad Thunder, and Storm Fuhrer. Even if they are scrapped for parts they still have a home by someone who needs the parts. The catch is of course that I don't want to spend the time and effort shipping, so someone would have to either pay shipping and provide instructions as to how they want their model/models shipped or be able to arrange for a meet in person delivery (Orange County, California). I have tried ust giving them away before but one family decided to later just throw the model (a custom painted dark spiner) in the trash and I was heartbroken at the waste.
My question is, what forum would be best for posting the photos and seeking out the best home for this collection? I could not find board rules covering my specific situation in the FAQs and I also just want to be above board about the whole thing. I need to simplify my life and I know I have rare models that deserve to not go in the trash, including my Green Horn, Gojulas Mariner, and more.

The trading board may be a good place. If you've got a list it'd also probably be easy to find more specialized homes for people who are fans of certain Zoids. A shipping estimate also wouldn't be a bad thing to have, since I imagine most people you'd be rehoming to would be online and may not be able to pick up the lot. I'm sure someone will take it~ I know I would if I had the space for the big guys, though I'm always up for discussing cats/dog Zoids you might want to get rid of. They tend to be what I most enthusiastically collect.
It's a real shame about the Dark Spiner, that truly is a waste. Especially since it's such a neat Zoid in general.

Definitely go to the trading post. I, personally, am always looking for deals on kits I am missing or kits to use as custom fodder. I loving keep every bit of every piece to use on future builds.

One way to check a value (quick and dirty) is to see if anything is listed on eBay/Amazon/YahooJapan and get a feel for what has bids and what does not. It is usually a pretty good indicator of what people are willing to pay. Just remember to include shipping in your estimate.
