So I have a comissoner that has done some amazing models for me in the past, think it's time I got a zoid one.
Right now I've decided on the hmm blade liger, I really enjoy the ligers possibility and it's one of my favorite zoids. But it's my least favorite to build too lol.
Color theme wise I really am kinda at a loss here. My guy specializes in auto car paints and does amazing work with them. I thought about doing a high gloss blue/purple with a glass finish for the body.
Then I was thinking of doing tiger stripes, (he did a gundam with tiger stripes with a custom stencil that looked amazinf) and having the stripes be a high fleck sparkle silver.
I'd want to keep the body black to break up the colors. The whiskers, ankles, and top of boosters need a different color but I'm at a loss. I was think a yellow fade to orange...
The claws blades and teeth need to be gold but I'm thinking with a high fleck, make it sparkle.
Cockpit needs to be another color, the base red is ugly, not sure what yet.
Any suggestions or color ideas please post. Thanks in advance ^.^

Well, I'm not really one for car paint colors (hey, I drive a blue minivan, right?) but one thing I can tell you is that the canopy color is going to be very limited unless you have access to clear. If you only have the red, you need to use that as a base hue, so your spectrum will be red/dark orange/purple. You could actually try gloss black or chrome.
Incidentally, if you want a black that isn't black and has a bit more kick, I've dome several models where I painted black parts over with black graphite metallic. It's basically a gloss black with super fine gunmetal and blue metallic flakes in it... just enough difference to make it pop.

I originally wasn't a fan of auto paints till I saw what he did for a gundam I sent him... the guy is a real artist lol. The cockpit and the white parts where my only concerns so far. The blue he should me was a dark glass like blue. Parts of the blue are lightly red before the top coat goes on making it look almost purple in spots. Here's what he did for me previously. www.lightedpaints.com/finished-code-name-silver-comet-sazabi-ver-ka/
