I've just seen some really impressive videos of Warhammer customizing using TEENY magnets, making spare or movable parts easily removable without having to do a lot of complicated cutting and drilling. Does anyone know any examples of this used in Zoid darthing?

If I'm not mistaken Rayse Tiger uses these quite a bit in his amazing CAS designs, making changing armors a breeze with little risk to damaging parts. I can't recall if I've seen others using them before but his are definitely a keen example.

My custom, Eradicator uses 69 rare earth magnets to attach the armor and a few other bits. You need to use the right kinds of glue, though, since they have enough pull to rip each other right out of your build! (the company I bought them from also makes magnetic screw heads, which I may purchase someday to improve installation)

Yeah I was thinking they'd have to be pretty strong if they're that tiny. Is there anything in between standard crummy magnets and superpowerful rare earth magnets?

The site where I got my rare earths, K&J Magnetics, had somewhat of a gamut, but it does depend on what you are hoping to do with them. Also, you can always aim for a smaller magnet; mine are 1/4" diameter 1/16th" thick.

When you find your perfect magnets, check for that type on ebay- someetimes you will find a killer deal on small lots of them.
