Zoids contests are still a thing outside of Japan? What did you enter?!
The fact that OJR kits were given out is prizes is insane. Congratulations!
I get what you mean about the surprise of loving a kit. I have had the opposite happen sadly; kits I have wanted for a long time turned out to be huge disappointments (Storch, Gairyuki, Valga)

Zoidfans just held a marvelous contest over FaceBook. Some incredible entries, but I wasn't able to enter it.

I received my prizes as well - for 3rd (really 4th, due to 2nd and 3rd tying for 2nd) in Kitbash, 3rd in paint job. I've never owned any of these Zoids before. Would it be sacrilege if I butchered the Gordos/Green Gorgon and the Gojulas Giga for customs I'd like to make?

This one - phen0type.proboards.com/thread/15400/rebel-kong-star-wars-themedIt was a purely community driven contest, and as near as I can tell, the prizes all came from the same person. It almost looks like he decided to give away his MIB collection and do it as a contest, to be honest.

It appears that way indeed. I was really not expecting what I received, that's for sure. I'm surprised by how many of the "old guard" of English-speaking Zoids fans are members of that group.

As I said, I love this kit for many reasons. It continued the more organic look that was being pushed with Gil Vader, as well, making them appear as a "next era" stage in the line. I would totally love a copy of this kit!

Tattoo looks good. You may have to shave of the rest of your back to keep it looking clean.

Really clean work! Could have been larger, though... like it could wrap all the way around your body!

Oh I hate waiting for the mail...got some rare gashapons and a bunch of Wild Zoids coming after Hasbro clearanced them out on Ebay. Should be fun, but my poor poor backlog ;_; I still have a Bio Volcano and a few other kits I got years ago that I need to build.
