Weakspots! Loving this more and more. The latest collapsing movements, I could literally watch for hours. Looks so how it should.

If you want to know what I do if I'm not ZPOCing you can have a look at the "Let's Play: Tutorial Mission" News Post and watch the video. The video is also on YouTube if you like more . If you want you can also give me some support. Voting for IOTY is still running until a day. You'll get a new ZPOC video soon no matter if you vote or not

No, I'm not. Looking at the website I also don't get what it is supposed to be. The IndieDB profile ( > Epsylon Project < ; > Drag[en]gine Game Engine < ) and > Twitter @epsylongame < is where the projects mainly live. That's working fine (people can register to be notified about updates). I could also make a profile for ZPOC there but then I could not label it anymore a POC and would put it out in the line of fire of a CnD.

Patreon is a website where basically people subscribe to watch your work, for a monthly fee. Usually people have different levels, for example:
$1 / month: Donation, thanks! $10 / month: See an extra 5 minute development video each month that's only available to patreon subscribers $30 / month: Download the WIP demo to play for yourself
However, I don't think it's a good home for projects like these. Copyright stuff/fan art may be easier to get away with when your portfolio also includes a lot of unique stuff, but not sure how well 100% fancontent ones fare. I don't think I've seen any. Sure they're out there, but probably more on a "nobody has bothered to report this yet" basis. The obligate monthly delivery of bonuses for each tier can also be taxing to keep up with, and the account closed if you fall behind. If that sounds like it'd be easily handled though, you could give it a shot, but not sure I recommend for a fanmade game based on a trademarked franchise.

I've put up a twitter account for ZPOC: >>> twitter.com/zpoc3 <<< . Those interested can hook up to it and if you want to spread the link around. I'm sure you know others not having seen ZPOC yet. The video I mentioned will come soon. I had to fit a problem first: >>> Z-Fighting Fixed <<<.

Something in-between (before the real video I promised) that I just wanted to do... just because I can: getting those force fields to affect dynamic colliders. A large rigid body flag . I'm just adding some more scenery props around the map before I'm going to make the video I promised. Hm... what could this "ZPOC" be? X:D

Wow you've been busy! And Moved the zoids into a city area. Looks like you're at the very large company ZPOC HQ, Digging that building and zoidy flag design. Curious to see what you plan to do with that that race track looking thing.

Had been unfortunate to fall ill (and all of my family) at 25th straight away which threw me somehow out of the loop. So I couldn't put all things in it I wanted and some things broke in the last minute. Nevertheless here the video(s) I promised. All good pilots have to first go through some training. The videos here show the first part of the Ground Course training absolved once with the Shield Liger and once with the Geno Saurer. The course is similar except some differences. It's the full length video so yes, it's not short. I didn't expect the course to be that long until I fully taped it going through it. The training course is available as separate map from the main menu. Allows me to experiment with a bunch of ideas before going live in the real map with it. But the major idea stays the same. The player base (if we want to call it that way) is located in a city area from where you operate. I'm no fan of open world since this is a synonym for failure (a bunch of lego bricks but nothing worthwhile to build with them). More I'm though not disclosing right now. Back to the training section. Let's see if you can find all the new things I've put in there besides fully documenting controls and what you can do with it. Imagine also what the different new abilities mean for possible scenarios. I certainly have stuff in mind that's for sure. Right now there are some placeholder textures since I've got right now only a small set of textures available and a bunch of other things not fully done yet. There is also a need for more filler props. In contrary to others I model all from scratch. It's nothing bought and slapped together. Except DGMMs base Geno model (before I modified it) all is modelled and textures created by me. I'll make a more "action" video once I have scripted "a certain thing". Building the reusable city pieces is one part of the picture but not all of it. So now the videos: Pick your zoid and get going! Shield Liger: Geno Saurer: And for those wondering... ZPOC is not a company, it's an organization. I have though not decided on the name it stands as abbreviation for. Somebody has ideas?

Glad I had some spare time this morning because I watched them both full length, not what I had planned to do but so happy I did! My first impression was how exciting! I was feeling a bit of an adrenaline rush watching this like it's a first day at work, Love the Geno's glowing eyes in the dark there and the city scenery with zoids on the freeway or whatever that roadway is, what are they doing up there anyway? commuters, pilots in training, employees?. Anyway what a fantastic training exercise, it already beats the training course in Zoids vs series by far! Running around the track I can't get enough of the zoid movements, Feels so much like your in one, and they have brakes! Pretty sure that's a positive first for any zoids game. Direction indicator, smart way to go about the Genosaurer and the head movements. Darkness and nightvision yes please! The course itself looks like a nice challenge too, though easy for you I'm sure given the practice you must have done. It's really feeling like a legit game now, If this was all I had ever seen I could be convinced I was watching an actual complete game produced by a large gaming company. Anyway as for what can ZPOC stand for... I think Zoids p something organization c something? maybe Look at verbs starting with 'p' Link and have the country/city/state is it based start with a 'C' and there is an instant possibility. Zoids Production Organization Cambodia (as example place names) Zoid Pioneering Organization California Zoids Power Organization Cracow Zoids Patrol on Call Just shooting stuff off the top of my head here

Sorry to hear you've been ill. This is looking great! I'm thrilled to see you've made it to the point of actually being able to participate in the world rather than just running around testing functionality. It really makes it seem like a game rather than just a, well, proof of concept. I especially liked the first bit just learning to move your zoid, seeing the way the zoid banked through turns. My old horse riding instincts came back and I started leaning into the turns to 'steady' my 'horse'! The Shield Liger in particular just feels so heavy and powerful.
As for 'ZPOC'... Zoid Production and Ordnance Centre Zoid Pilot Operations Command Zoid Presidential/Parliamentary Oversight Committee Union of Zoid Pilots, Officers and Crew

I guess I forgot to mention something before asking that question. I chose the flag motive on purpose (and the real flag I based it upon). The organization is more of a peace keeping unit or similar. Kind of inter-national peace keeping organization. Might help looking for a name.

This is looking ridiculously impressive, especially when all those models and textures are made from scratch! And looking at that flag... that "certain thing" you're making wouldn't happen to have circular saws, would it? As for the acronym, Z pretty much has to be Zoid or Zi, and P would logically be something to do with "peace"... maybe "Zi Peace and Order Council" or something similar? There are plenty of good words in Vig and SteelRain's suggestions, too.

Stupid forum... deleted my whole post and I've not copied it... well then, I'll try to remember the important things from my head. This video is sort of an introduction mission. It's build using the Drag[en]gine Conversation System combined with some AI routines. The video is not so long so compared to the previous training video. The video contains this stuff amongst others: - Introducting the city of Zinaidos. I found the city names in the zoids franchise to be quite lacking so I coined one myself. It's the home of the ZPOC organization and the HUB map for the player. Here you will find all your zoid needs before going on missions one way or the other. As you will see moving zoids through the city streets is a bad idea so the architects designed some "High Roads" connecting zoid related city parts. The player will use the high roads to move between areas.
- Introducing Reavon. More I will not say. The pilot model stays placeholder until I figure out what kind of art style is fitting.
- Modular city pieces. Fully defined using occlusion meshes, navigation spaces and what not else you need to get a real game world working properly.
- In-cockpit Conversation System. I don't like communication panels floating in an unmotivated way around the canopy somewhere. For this reason I moved it into the main monitor.
- Breakble props. A little idea I'm messing around with to add some mayhem to it. Keep an eye out on your surroundings. Who knows what happens to a zoid next to a fuel tank if whacked a bit
- Shieldy got his trusty internal back gun. It has a fixed 2x shot-camera.
- Projectile tracers. Only some weapons have this, especially OHKO type ones. It's especially for the player. If you see a tracer like this better think twice if you want to stick out your head unprepared. Snipers/Railguns are strong but reloading feels like taking ages.
- Core explosion. Added this as a sort of "visual reward" for skilled sniper players successfully picking out a zoids core. If a zoid goes kaboom like this the player is warned that somebody knows how to handle a sniper/railgun.
I hope I did not forget something. As always this is all WIP and comments are welcome.
