Firstly I'm new so Hello to all. I have a gore the lord protector which is in pretty good nick apart from a few years ago when I moved house and checked it I find that the batteries had corroded everywhere. The terminals on the motor had completly perished and a battery tab had gone too. I removed the motor and made a diagram of the gearing positions but I have now lost this piece of paper. I have tried a couple of times to work it out but cant seem to get it quite right and am now wondering am I missing any pieces. I have attached a photo showing what I have, is anyone here able to help with this? ![]() Many thanks Attachments:![](//storage.proboards.com/1255655/thumbnailer/pgIrTLbNd0eBrBOCkG5I.png)

augh what a shame. and unlike some zoids you can't just swap the motor out with a modern one, the light up bits would be the wrong color. I've learned the hard way about leaving batteries inside a motor.. and yet i've had plenty who died without having batteries left in, sometimes it just happens. These aren't appliance-quality electronics here, I think the original designers didn't expect us to keep them so long

Thanks for the reply, Im not sure what you mean by the lights being the wrong colour? I thought that their may be a difference in the speed it walks as I saw on facebook that some guy has replaced his motor so I thought that it was possible, I will keep trying to fix this but maybe start looking for a replacement as well. Is anyone possible to upload a photo showing the gearing positions from a unit they have?

well I mean, if you replace the apparatus with that if a modern iron kong, it'll be gray with green eye lights, instead of that beautiful red with red that makes Gore so awesome

Ahh thats what you mean, yeah I dont want do do that
What I meant was putting this broken unit back together with a new electric motor, Ive not had any joy yet in getting a photo showing the correct positions of gearing inside. I can pretty much get it 90% working with both axles turning without the top screwed on, as soon as i do it jams.
I may be able to get some gore parts from someone online in the next couple days as hes waiting for a shipment of parts and I might be lucky and get a working motor unit or a photo showing the gears inside

Maybe someone here on the forum would be so kind, if they're really good with gear assembly and thus aren't PETRIFIED to do this, as to open one of theirs up and take some detailed photos for you

That would be really good if someone could do that, even if someone had one and didn't want to open it, some high res close up pics may be enough to help. With the plastic being transparent red you can see alot of detail with a light behind it

Belated welcome, Rusher! If I had access to my Badox I would get a few shots... but, alas, my collection is in storage off-site at the moment. ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png)

Thanks for the welcome and thought. Ive managed to get the correct gears positions now I think, both axles and the head turns. Hopefully I'll be getting a couple photos in a day or two to confirm I have it right, and the motor cog size from someone I found on facebook as I'm missing mine from the old motor I managed to get a new motor to fit in as well after some cutting of the motor plastic at the rear, I also need to figure out where the metal strip goes as well Attachments:![](//storage.proboards.com/1255655/thumbnailer/XYp5GGqFjKYAmWcQW6T3.JPG)

Is it weird that I actually like Gore and Badox's gun better than the weird default magazine-fed rocket launcher? I wanna see that get re-released

The twin side-by-side launcher? Yeah, I really like that variant, especially adding a gunner to it.
