Since the cheapest liger zero I could get to go with my schneider armor is an empire one, I'm keen on painting it in appropriate empire colors.. but I'm a bit torn. In Zoids Vs II the empire schneider has red armor with gold trim and red blades, but that's far from canon. I feel like maybe I should change orange to red (but maybe something else? black?), grey to bronze, and light blue to gold. That way the main blades don't clash very much with the tail blades who were on a different sprue. Whatchu guys think?

Do you have a pic of it? I have the game on my computer but I don't know if I have all the zoids unlocked in II yet, and I think it's in Japanese too. XD

From other threads i got the impression you had a ton of red liger zeros already, but it looks like this. The one on the left. or if you mean a pic of the empire schneider, well it's just as i described, red with gold trim and red blades.. red blades just seem WRONG to me.

Yeah I meant the schneider. I can't find a pic anywhere, do you have to unlock it in the game, or is it just a playable character from the beginning? Yeah red blades seems cheesey... I like the gold blades idea and the orange to red. It's simple but it gets the job done cleanly! And I would say paint the leftover white on the liger gold, but since you're using an x it will already be gold.

Did you snap it up? It's sold now.. My my look at those other deals.. Chrome panzer at the price of regular panzer, cheap hasbro fuhrer, zoids2s at super low prices.. of course they all seem like deals when there's zero to 1 bids. huh? what? oh I thought we were on auction sightings for a minute there. btw yeah I'd get a pic of the zoids vs II screenshot but.. i don't have a way to take screenshots from gamecube games, so.

I'll get one and donate it to the internet, since there don't seem to be any. And yeah I tottally bought it, I shouldn't but I did, lol. Story of every zoid ever. This one person keeps listing zoids super cheap. It looks like a serious colector or 2 have started selling their collections. One user is Bailey-Beans and I got a bunch of really rare zoids from her, Forest blade liger, Gariyuki, Ultrasaurus... And I got a chrome redler for super affordable too. OH MY. we are off topic.

I'm still kicking myself for not sniping that built zero panzer from bailey beans.. yeah she has a lot of good things but by the end of the auction they get pretty high
SO back on topic, the only gold paint i have left that hasn't hardened.. it matches imperial zero's gold nicely, but it's totally the wrong consistency. That means Ima buy a new bottle of paint. Does anyone happen to know an exact name/brand that they know matches imperial zero's gold?

I use Vallejo, and Tamiya and the gold colours I've used are nowhere close, fortunately I haven't tried to match it yet, lol. I'd love to know what brand has good colours to match, or if I'm better off mixing if I ever need the shades.

yeah unfortunately gold model-paint is usually way too low-saturation it's really sad, like i said i can mix the perfect color match with this paint i have that's meant more for clay models.. and even on those it doesn't work too well because it only really adds a transparent layer.. Thankfully the red paint I have works perfectly. i guess i SHOULD go to a hobby shop so i can pick the paint out myself and for that matter i suppose a poor match is fine because i'll just add some yellow and orange to it buuut here's a zoids forum, for all i know someone here has a comprehensive guide to zoid color matching

In my view way over here on the USA side of the pond (we get the leftovers from Japan and Europe) the eras of colors were: Maroon structure/Silver armor Red structure/Black armor Black structure/Red armor Then there were the usual, "let's just throw some colors at it" kits. I'm kind of fond of all of them, but I'm not sure what the "currnt" scheme would be. Personally, I would try to find a scheme that YOU like and go with that. When I made my huge centipede custom, Fusillade, I experimented with a few different schemes in photoshop, and I ended up doing Silver structure and black/red armor: I will probably revist that custom and extend the darker portions of the theme (originally the silver was suppoed to be a very flat steel with shinier accents, but it was my first experimenting with metallizer spray paint. Next time I will elect to do it RIGHT... all by hand with brushes!)

I guess Tamiya's "gold leaf" is a good enough match. We'll just have to see.
