It's a beautiful Zoid but ugh, what a pricetag. I kind of hope they don't release something I will fall absolutely in love with because I would hate to know the price of getting one sent to Australia if it has to go via a US middleman.
It sucks that they don't ship internationally from the Tomy store. Understandable, but a shame.
I love how cute the Mirage Fox's face is though, and the purple eyes are so lovely against the gold.

Not that anyone cares but I'm so proud of myself for resisting and it took all day long of going back and forth to realize that I can't justify the price. Foxy isn't "that" Zoid for me and the standard is enough for me to appreciate but it looks great. I love the pink canopy and slight re-design. Can't wait to see peeps pictures upon delivery.

The middleman services are in Japan so your shipping cost might be lower. All the same fees would apply though but they really aren't awful.

It's an actual business they're running, Tilly? Why does it cost them so much then? They need to get more efficient.. it shouldn't cost them 9 extra dollars for internal shipping when they should be shipping it straight to you..

^ Takara doesn't ship internationally, so they have to ship to a Japanese warehouse. Those shipping costs are determined by the Japanese postal system. Celga/Japamart etc just relay those costs to us. The only thing they really charge is their fee for having a place to ship to us from.

hmm seems like fewer paint apps than the original. I still want it!!!! Oh they have a warehouse?? seems like a business that large would be able to keep its costs down with volume.. oh well.

I again must change my earlier response.
I ordered the Fox due to a tip on Tumblr from someone living in the US. They used and suggested FromJapan. My total BEFORE shipping to the US(but including all other fees) is between $31 and $34.
They're prompt and their fees are much lower than Celga or Japamart. Commission for FromJapan is $2 vs $10 and their internal shipping shaved another $2. You pay in 2 parts and have a week to pay from the estimate date.

Maybe if TakaraTomy notices how many of their sales are going to resellers they'll reconsider international shipping. A girl can dream. in the meantime I guess that's not that bad. It's not even actually out yet, right? so we have some time to consider options before it's too late..

Maybe and really, hopefully. Because if I had to use a reseller for each piece, there's probably very little chance I'll get anything else in the line if they greenlight one.
Fox is not out yet. End of June I believe is the release date but the translated page says that when pre-orders fill, they will decide whether to make more or stop there.

sigh. preorders. another thing I really approve of for business reasons but that resellers have a great way of unbalancing

I guess I'm lucky then. A childhood friend of mine now lives in Japan, and he helps me get model kits for much cheaper than on Ebay or resellers. I'm not willing to pay a premium price for such a thing. :/

^ SUPER lucky. I got a friend to get me HMM chrome and some figures and basically the chrome was free once I sold everything else. She's back here in the US now though. Got lucky that time.

I don't suppose your friend would be willing to buy up a few more if we paypal'd him the money plus a modest fee for his troubles (but still less than the whole proxy warehouse malarkey) i'd understand if you'd rather not awkwardize things by bringing that up
