WIP Posable Zeke

I'm considering it Zodd. If I am able to make molds of the final model it is very likely that I will offer you guys a chance to buy one. I'll just have to calculate the price of materials I use for each one once I actually get a working model.

So I thought I would drop in to give a little proof of concept. This cast was done very quickly with silicone rubber so this is not the same material that will be used in the final product as silicone is not as durable a material as I want and is virtually unpaintable but the flexibility should be comparable with the flexible foam urethane I have on order. Note that I did not worry about getting any of the bubbles out of the mold so ignore any defects haha.









So there is an idea of what the final product will be able to do. I am going to start working on the leg and arm joints tonight so I might post some pics of that later on.

I'm glad to see that there is this much interest. I'm really just waiting for a new casting material to come in the mail so that I can get some high quality flexible casting that I will be able to paint. I've got the ankle joint and knee joint designed already and I will be working on getting both the legs and arms finished sometime soon. I want to save the pics of the legs until i'm done with them so I can have a big reveal on the fully posable leg haha.

I can't wait to get the new casting material though it will be perfect for this project. It is a high density flexible foam that has ridiculous durability. since it is a foam it will capture more of the detail more reliably and give a very good texture to paint on. If everything goes as planned I should be done and able to cast multiples before Christmas!

I just find it amazing you can make joints on such a tiny scale, i'll be interested in seeing how you pull that off

I'm approaching a bottleneck until my new casting material comes. Just wanted to give this news though. I have a Geno Saurer Raven Ver on its way from HLJ so once I get it I will probably start this same process on Shadow. Because honestly who wouldn't want a dynamic looking battle diorama between Zeke and Shadow...

I will probably scratch build some detachable wings like you see here.



I think that would really be icing on the cake =D

It's the one major thing the HMM Shadow was missing that the original Hasbro/NAR had.

Since your planning on making custom wings for Shadow, would there be a possibilty of you being able to make custom molds for Ambient and Specular?

If you could, I'd love to get all 4 of them!

Well here is where I am at for the Custom wings for shadow.

Do you guys think this is a good size or should I scale it up a bit bigger?

Once I get Zeke and shadow done I would certainly consider doing Ambient and Specular.

I mean Ambient would be easy because he is basically has the same shape features as shadow with some extra spikage going on all over.

Specular to me looks like a slimmed down Zeke. I'll need to go watch some guardian force to find better angles of him so that I can get a better idea of what i'd need to do.

Materials update. Turns out I just got an email with a tracking number and I will be getting my new casting materials tomorrow!!! Back in business!
